    Looking for...

They kinda get this already, with the Oversized ability. Bumpnig weapons up one step isn't the boon it was in 3E, but its still a bonus that only one other race gets. Not to mention, Goring Charge is a fairly decent attack, too.

    D&D 3E/3.5 Multi-class like 3.5

How about this: Take the multiclass feat of your second class of choice. One added benefit of this is that you may now level as that class, if you'd like. You gain none of the starting features of the class (aside from whats given by the feat), but you do gain access to powers and feats as if...

    Looking for...

Minotaurs in 3E were +8 Str as a PC race but even then you had to take 6 racial levels and +2 LA. +2 Str in exchange for actually getting to play one ungimped by LA and from Lv 1 is a small tradeoff.

    D&D 4E A simulationist DM has a few reluctant questions about 4E

The disease system IMO is one of the hidden gems of 4E: its a massive improvement over how they were handled in 3E, and was never really touched on at all during the teasers. I always avoided using them (and poison, for that matter) in 3E, but I can totally see using disease in 4E.

    My first attempt

Paladins are still primarily a frontline/defender class, so just like 3E, and pretty much every version of D&D ever made, Str and Con are your main concerns. Since Cha is important for a pally you'll want a decent score there, but you're still wanting to stay alive. Dex can still be important...

    Bull rush into allies

The simple answer likely is: a monster can be bull rushed through an ally, but not into him. Since he can't stop in an ally-occupied space, then the bull rush would have to be able to push him through the occupied space and into one beyond it. If that can't be done, then that space is invalid.

    D&D 4E Large Characters in 4E

The AE Giant doesn't even have large size by default in AE, so why give it in 4E? 4E size only seems to affect space and reach (and reach doesn't affect ability to deliver OAs, you still only threaten adjacent squares). There is a monster ability called Threatening Reach that grants OA to the...

Number of encounters before an extended rest

Thats true of 3E as well; just in 4E its true of most any PC, instead of just spellcasters.

    3rd party 4e products?

Slightly off-topic, but only just: I'm really looking forward to Necromancer's 4E books. Given the amount of excitement that Clark's displayed on here regarding the new rules, I'm excited to see what he churns out. On that topic, I've not seen him say anything recently; I'd be curious to see...

    Question about Treasure

For starters - and this is by no means a certainty, but it appears to be the case - treasure isn't anywhere near as unbalancing as it was in 3.x, because so little stacks. There are no +stat items that give bumps to everything associated with those stats, no non-armor items that give bumps to AC...

    Dewl barsturd swordz yo!

I don't really see the massive brokenness of dual bastard swords. If all I want is to duel wield d10s and my DM bans bastards as an option for that, I can just do battle axes, flails or warhammers for the same mechanical effect. Basically, the only thing the feat gets you over those options is...

    3 Character Flanking

Your first example is fairly close to how it can work with large+ creatures: __@_ _LL_ _LL_ _@@_ Even tho' each side takes up two squares, its still considered one side, so in that example, all three would be getting flanking. At least... thats how it was in 3.x, and I've yet to see anything...

    Large Weapons

Large creatures can 1H medium 2H weapons, but that particular benefit doesn't seem to extend to the minotaur's oversized ability.

    Cohorts as minions

The obvious choice is through a 4E-ified Leadership feat, or possibly a Cleric/Warlord (leader types) paragon path. Theres also the option of simply handling it like hirelings, tho' that could definitely be badly exploited.

    Cohorts as minions

That would certainly make it a bit more worthwhile, tho' its hard to know exactly what real benefit it'd give (he'd still likely be little more than an encounter attack ability: run in fast and smack a monster. Get smacked and drop. Get up after fight. Rinse & repeat). Now, one thing it does...

    Cohorts as minions

I'm not sure I care for minion cohorts; for one thing it seems like it'd encourage them to be used as artillery units, because using them any other way would be completely pointless (they'd simply die in the first round or two). Now, as an At-Will for the future conjurer class? Totally. No more...

Does hitting a milestone need more sizzle?

I haven't seen this confirmed anyplace, so I'll go ahead: he's exactly right, a milestone is two consecutive encounters without an extended rest. If this rule needs any changing (and I'm not touching the "not realistic/breaks immersion" argument, I don't much care about that angle so I won't...

How many encounters in a day?

One minor detail to point out about milestones: you're right that they occur after two encounters, but only if they're two consecutive encounters not separated by an extended rest (short rests to regain encounter powers are fine). Minor thing, but there you go. Basically, you need at least...

Iterative Attacks - Reining the Ranger in a bit

As a Daily I don't think its broken at all; in fact since it makes you alternate between primary and off-hand (thus possibly having to use a weaker magical weapon half the time in later levels), as well as the fact that the game is balanced so that a d20 hit chance is on average somewhere in the...

    power bonus stacking

In the aforementioned case of +init feats, I'd prolly allow Imp. Init as an unnamed bonus, but all others would be a feat bonus unless they state otherwise. This is also a practice I'd likely extend to all other similar cases: the basic version of any direct bonus feat (Imp Init, Weapon...
