Survival tips for Green Star Adepts

I wouldn't sweat it. 10th level is really far down the road, especially if you don't run all the way through GSA at once. (Where are you going to find that much kryptonite?) Your choice of Con 12 and IT is fine. I might even settle for Con 10. Think about Great Fortitude. Pick up a rat...

I ran through a prismatic sphere!

yeah, I bullrushed the party's fighter into a prismatic wall. The next day the cleric found him floating in Limbo. "What took you so long?"

    Bo9S: Extra Damage from Maneuvers/Stances

oh! Didn't know that bit about critical hitting on a strike. Whew! One can only imagine a critical hit of perfect clarity.

    Bo9S: Extra Damage from Maneuvers/Stances

Extra dice damage is never multiplied. And what is this Bo7S you mention? Like a draft version of the Bo9S?

    protection from ability drain

Drain or damage? The thread title brought me in here to say Bone Ring, but then your post changed the question.

melee weapon mastery and natural weapons

Can the benefits of Melee Weapon Mastery apply also to a natural attack? For example, a bite is listed as bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing. If someone has MWM of any flavor, can those bonuses also apply to a secondary bite attack?

    How many ranks?

what? Since 3.5 killed the Herbalist synergy, why take any profession? hmm. Let's look at the Jump skill: I'm...going to put a few ranks in Climb, thanks. Also, I'm glad to see that your list includes some love for Heal. It's damn handy, since just about no one carries around neutralize...

Edit Please Help: Tiny Iron Golem Stat Conversions

There are chapters at the back of the Monster Manual to guide you in this direction. Right out of the gate, you are not making a golem. They are not intelligent. um, what? So it's not an iron golem; it's an adamantine golem? For one thing, if you're trying to drop the price, don't pay for...

    Willing Recipients

I tend to go by the much simpler "most beneficial" rule, which is that whatever is most beneficial to the player at that moment, works, unless stated otherwise. Naturally, I can try to trick them, but I have to explicitly trick them. Otherwise they get all whiny.

Book of 9 Swords:Have you gone back to base classes?

I'm pretty happy with the book. I have played one of each base class, and the crusader got the most play. Lots of fun. When the dice are having a bad day, you don't want to run into a spectre. Ouch. Also, the crusader is just too much of a pain in the butt [for the DM] to play as an NPC.

Expedition to Castle Ravenloft: How was your groups experience?

I think the only party that could ace the module is four clerics of Pelor. We failed. I played a swordsage (died)...then a crusader (died)...then a warblade (dominated). We had a cleric die and be replaced by a bard. The warlock died and was replaced by a warlock. The fighter made it all...

Need help with Expedition to Castle Ravenloft character

That's funny, because I had three PCs die in EtCR: a swordsage, a crusader, and a warblade. Actually, the warblade wound up dominated, along with two others, so I guess he's technically still alive. Yes, after losing eight PCs, we "lost" EtCR. It's over. My recommendation for a PC is a...

Crafting Special Materials Takes HOW Long?

Wow. I was not aware of that. What magical item is that? A +10 bonus is Epic. I believe the dominant mindset is that the extra cost for special materials is for labor, so yes, it makes sense that mithral armor takes longer. If you're going to assume Craft check results, then you should...

Grab from Above - How to do it?

If you check the encumbrance chart, you will see that I split the weight evenly between the gargoyles. Well, then it becomes something totally different: a weapon attack. The most lenient I would be with a blanket is -4 to attack for an improvised weapon. Perhaps you have to invent a weapon...

Grab from Above - How to do it?

First, you have to design the flight path of the gargoyles. Let's pretend that they swoop vertically downward, grab your guy, then take off. They have average maneuverability and 60' speed. They do not have Flyby Attack, Improved Grab, Improved Grapple, or anything nice like that. Starting...
