    Best Gestalt Combos?

..... Yes. That is multi-classing. If you get the feat, with multi-classing with synergies. Gestalt would be Scout 20/Ranger 20. That is different.

What should guard a wizard's lab?

I think the idea of imperfect or broken-down constructs (early experiments?) is really interesting. They may not even be intended as guards, more as pets or assistants or something the wizard is studying, so you could give the PCs a chance to think their way around them rather than fight them...

    Best Gestalt Combos?

Ninja seems to combine with other classes really well in gestalt. Someone already mentioned the Druid/Ninja. "Now you see the Dire Bear, now you don't...." I've also heard that Rogue/Ninja is insane. You would get the best of both worlds, plus crazy SA damage. Monk/Ninja would also be fun...

    half-celestials

Anger of Angels has a level breakdown for half-celestials as well. Might take a look at that.

    pinpointing invisible opponents

Many adventurers carry bags of flour or bags of marbles for just such an eventuality as invisible opponents.

Wisdom bonus to AC while wildshaped feat?

Not necessarily that different in flavor, if you set it up right. Lots of monasteries are associated with temples, a la the Sacred Fist PrC. If they were to run across a monastery devoted to a nature deity like Obad-Hai, perhaps the clerics, monks, and druids there might suggest that a bit of...

Wisdom bonus to AC while wildshaped feat?

I take it that picking up a level of monk or ninja is not an option? Both of them get their wisdom bonus to AC, and have attributes that would be useful to a druid. Swordsages also get the same bonus, though I'm not sure how maneuvers and such would work in wildshape.

    Tinkering with the druid

Good question. My guess (take it with a grain of salt, since I'm opposed to the changes) is the wild empathy class feature, the spell list, and the class abilities (like alter self at will...though I suppose if you lose wild shape, you lose that as well). It's a good point though. With the...

    Tinkering with the druid

I suppose that is a playstyle thing, there. I most often used my wildshape to sneak around and listen to things that a human couldn't (like assassins plotting a murder), so removing wildshape would remove a lot of the enjoyment for me. If you want to do the foil-wrapped potato thing, that is...

    Tinkering with the druid

blech. If you take away Wildshape, what's the fun of being a druid?

Ideas Needed For A Cleric Domain (My Players Out!)

Aye, some of the other levels have more money-related spells than others, so maybe you could declare one of them appropriate. Also, I didn't really go through the PHB, just the Spell Compendium, so there may be spells from other sources. Let us know what you finally decide on, eh?

Why do all paladins, monks, and druids seem exactly the same?

Bingo. My druid's favorite trick was to shift into a cat and go play with the shoelaces of the forces of evil as they were discussing their latest plot. It worked surprisingly well. Nobody pays attention to the kitty.

Ideas Needed For A Cleric Domain (My Players Out!)

For granted powers, how about a hefty bonus to haggling and maybe appraise? The Spell Compendium has a 1st level spell called Appraising Touch, +10 bonus on Appraise checks. 2nd Level - Entice Gift or Gembomb 3rd Level - Listening Coin or Treasure Scent 4th - Celebration or Summon...

    a Mad Treant

Hmmmm. The first thing that sprang to my mind was that the plant might be an escaped wizard's experiment. Could be accidentally created, could be purposeful. If you wanted to go in an evil wizard direction, the wizard could be trying to find ways of controlling plants and animals for his own...

Need Feat Suggestions for 7th Monk/8th Ninja

It looks like you chose feats that will support your monk side more than your ninja side. This is not a judgement, just an observation.

Need Feat Suggestions for 7th Monk/8th Ninja

You really can't go wrong with Improved Feint to get your foes flat-footed when you don't want to burn a Ghost Step. It runs off of bluff, though, so is charisma-based. Two-Weapon Fighting is another good thought, or Spectral Skirmisher from the PHB2, which gives you some bonuses to fighting...

If you were a Beholder.........what would you ask of my players?

Do you have a paladin or similarly noble type in the group? Perhaps he could get that guy to give his word to do the favor or whatever is required, then they could still get their friend unpetrified while being obligated to go on the quest. Or a geas spell or some sort of magical contract to...

Has anyone experimented with the Shadow Striker tactical feat? I'm considering giving it a try and would love to know what other folks' experience has been. (PHB2 feat)

combat question (my players stay out...)

Hold up, would the ranger know, or have contacts who know, that there are rumors of hydra in the area? He might also know a thing or two about tactics to combat them, maybe suggesting the group invest in tripvine, tanglefoot bags, scrolls of deep slumber, wands of whatever. Oooh, here's a...
