    D20 Modern Vehicle Miniatures

No worries. My Spycraft group loves tactical maps and cars are integral parts of their firefights, so I've found these to work well with the 28mm scale. I think the manufacturers name is Maisto. Enjoy Most Wanted! I'm eagerly awaiting the release of Combat Missions myself - it's been a long...

    D20 Modern Vehicle Miniatures

Talien, you probably want 1/48 scale minis, which are made by an italian publisher. You can get them in toy stores or online for about $3 a car. They work swell :)

    Spy-genre Poll

' How about "mutually beneficial business arrangement?" Both Crafty and Mongoose are improving their profiles through this arrangement (we get an established publisher with a good distribution base; they get a quality "boutique game", our customer base, and diversify their publishing...

    Spy-genre Poll

For disambiguation's sake - we're most definately not in limbo :) Our deal with Mongoose is long since sealed, and World on Fire is already in final review stages over at the 'goose. The only thing that has been sketchy was the release date of 2.0 second printing, which was a distributor thing...

    Spy-genre Poll

IIRC, we do. And there's a demand for adventures...it's something that thus far we have not had the resources to put together (aside those for the Living Spycraft campaign). Fire off an email to scott@crafty-games.com and he'll be able to sort you out. The license is free, at the very least :)...

    Good Military/Hard Sci-Fi RPG?

It's a mite early to pimp this, but Crafty Games will be releasing Farthest Star as a reasonably hard sci-fi campaign setting for Spycraft 2.0. Seeing as this is Spycraft, military stuff is quite easy to do and will be supported with one campaign model. More details can be found here.

D20 Modern vs. Spycraft: Tell me which one you like better

Thanks :) We're certainly looking forward to breaking the spy genre...a lot...with our upcoming releases. While I've written a lot of spy stuff for Spycraft, the settings I've developed and games I've run have existed almost entirely outside of the espionage realm. As for the errata, hit...

My apologies to AEG and the Spycraft team

Mission accomplished :) If you're not in any rush, though, you might want to hang on for the second printing which will roll in all the errata from the first printing plus reorganizes the gear chapter (this will be a print version of the PDF currently available). Just a thought

My apologies to AEG and the Spycraft team

PirateCat was only referring to the ceremony, where apparently the cue card with the nominees' names did not include Spycraft 2.0 - no effect on the voting at all.

My apologies to AEG and the Spycraft team

Thanks, Kevin. We were a bit surprised to say the least, but these things happen. Regardless of the mixup, you guys did a great job of putting together and presenting the ENnies this year. It's a tough job, and we were honored to be nominated in so many categories in the first place. If you'd...

D20 Modern vs. Spycraft: Tell me which one you like better

Heheh, yeah that's me. If you come to Psion's Sat. eve game at Gencon Indy this year, I can show you a preview of the cyber system :D

D20 Modern vs. Spycraft: Tell me which one you like better

Henry, I didn't reply to your earlier post where you mentioned pigeonholing, but I completely agree :) Once we got 2.0 in the can back in early 2005, we immediately started brainstorming non-espionage supplements to run with (as had always been our plan). World on Fire, based on the CCG world...

D20 Modern vs. Spycraft: Tell me which one you like better

Absolutely - there's a computer skill which is open to a number of classes (and there are many ways to get it as a class skill if your classes don't) and literally any character can participate in a hacking dramatic conflict. The hacker class gives you some computers and code breaking class...

D20 Modern vs. Spycraft: Tell me which one you like better

If you referring to Spycraft first edition, I would totally agree with you. But if you are talking about Spycraft 2.0, we'll have to agree to disagree. Spycraft 2.0 IMNSHO is a cinematic game with a superspy past. My challenge to those that think Spycraft 2.0 is just for superspies is to tell me...

D20 Modern vs. Spycraft: Tell me which one you like better

Here's the crux of my argument (aside from the fact I think a part of the issue is the game is called "Spycraft," which in a sense damns it to the 'superspy game' label): Looking just at the parts of the game...no labels, just parts...I don't see 2.0 as any more 'superspy' than d20M is...

D20 Modern vs. Spycraft: Tell me which one you like better

The same could be said for D20 Modern, which is obviously very slanted towards magic and supernatural elements in campaigns by default. I would say it's nearly as easy to run a game that sits slightly outside Spycraft's "main genre" of cinematic ___ as it is to do the same outside of d20M's...

D20 Modern vs. Spycraft: Tell me which one you like better

I won't try to sway you one way or the other (I'm obviously biased ;)), but I'd like to note you also have the option of using Spycraftized versions of the d20 Modern basic classes with Back to Basics. If you choose to go to Spycraft, these might help ease the transition of your players to the...

SC2.0 conversions of d20M base classes

Solkan - glad to hear BtB is working out for you. Guys like your reluctant player are exactly the people targetted by this piece :) Yeah - it was interesting working with a new class ability scale where properly twinked characters could get to abilities equivalent to a base class's 10th level...

SC2.0 conversions of d20M base classes

We didn't actually convert all the d20 Modern *rules* over to 2.0 - only the classes and basic concept. Spycraft 2.0 already has its own take on martial arts which is quite different from Blood and Fists, and a conversion document for the psychic rules from Shadowforce Archer (which predate the...
