[HELP!] Low AC, High Damage group

Except mage armor's AC bonus will not stack with the AC bonus from the dwarf's chainmail (or any other armor). I agree that boosting AC would be good for these characters. At their level getting enchanted armor should be pretty easy. Rings of protection and amulets of natural armor should also...

Someone have a link to the 'what has changed in 3.5' doc ?

Here is a link to a list of changes compiled by Olgar Shiverstone. That is hosted on my campaign website. compiled_revised_revisions.doc I hope this is what you are looking for.

DM: Do you allow Mongoose Publishing Books into your game?

I'm still mad at Mongoose for putting out the absolutely abysmal .pdf "The Slayers Guide to Winter Wolves". I could have gotten more inspiration by burning my $5! Really it's true. I also have their Seas of Blood which I thought was okay. The ship to ship combat system presented in there just...

    D&D 3E/3.5 [3.5] Sleep = full round action!

I don't think the old (3E) version of sleep was broken at all. I recently had an encounter where the PC's were attacked by a group of 4 goblins, 2 hobgoblins and a Bugbear. Two sleep spells were thrown at the group of goblinoids and I think the net effect was that two of them lost one action...

    Ha. Did You See...

I think Dragon is great! Even if only one artical a month gets use in your game it is plenty worth the subscription! Is just me or are the bloodline feats in the latest issue really friggin cool!? IMC I had ruled that sorcerers weren't inate magic users, rather they practice a different style...

D&D 3E/3.5 Link to thread on 3.5 changes?

Here is a link to a word document put together by Olgar Shiverstone compiling alot of the 3.5 changes. He put it out shortly before 3.5 officially released and was based off of a long thread devoted to the changes. I hope it's useful to you.

    Scoop: Dungeon/Polyhedron Changes

I like all the changes presented there as well. The flipping the mag over for the Polyherdron material annoyed me! That change alone would get raves from me!

    best battlemat?

Another word of warning. If you use dry erase boards at the gaming table, be very careful not to use dry-erase markers on your battlemap. I did that about a year ago and I still have many parts of the Sunless Citadel on my mega-mat!

    D&D 3E/3.5 Problems with 3.5 Power Attack?

I just thought I would show people where that damage calculation comes from. (MS if I made a mistake here let me know) Since I was finally interested enough to derive it for myself. Average Damage= (% chance hit) * (Ave. Dam. per hit) + (% chance Crit) * (Ave. Dam. per hit) * (Crit...

    D&D 3E/3.5 Problems with 3.5 Power Attack?

I have to agree with PS. At first I was worried that the new PA would be too powerful for 2-handed fighters, but all of the mathmatical analysis demonstrated this was not the case. What it did demonstrate to me, however, was that the only way for TWF to be able to out-damage 2-handers on a full...

    Soliciting feedback from your players.

Hey all. I've recently started a new campaign and just finished the second session. IMO the sessions so far have been okay, but certainly not great. I would like to send out a little questionaire to my players to find out, how they have veiwed the sessions so far and find out what they liked...

Off Hand Parry vs. Two Weapon Defense

Re: re As I read it, yes they are stackable. The OHP is a dodge bonus for giving up off-hand attacks and TWD is a sheild bonus just for using two weapons. Even with stackability though, OHP is not useful enough to warrant spending a feat on it though, at least in my opinion.

The ineptitude of the WotC/Hasbro marketing machine

Wow! I never realized that KotOR used d20 mechanics! The TV spots just made it seem like a standard 3rd person action game. I think I've just been sold on it though. If I hadn't of heard this I probably never would have seriously considered buying the game.

Off Hand Parry vs. Two Weapon Defense

I agree. I would much rather have two weapon defence than off hand perry. Even though it gets +2 AC OHP is far to limited, I would almost never actually use it.

D&D 3E/3.5 Spell Focus 3.5: WAH! Was it that bad?

Sorry about that I don't know how I missed it when I first read through the thread.... The Ryan Dancy quote I actually caught was very much lacking the context.
