Boston EN World game day on Saturday, January 29th

Is there anyone else going to one of these for the first time? :uhoh: The trip itself will be an adventure for me  NTZ

Boston EN World game day on Saturday, January 29th

Ooh, I like the idea of card and board games on the side. Of course, only if there is some room to squeeze in a pick-up type game. So far I am only signed up for the afternoon, but I would love to arrive earlier and play something like Munchkin or Chez Dork (both of which I have). :cool...

Boston EN World game day on Saturday, January 29th

Looks like I might be too late to sign up for Wulf's Grim Tales in the afternoon. If not, I would like to play in that one. Thanks, NTZ

    What makes an adventure great?

Ideas that have been done over and over again probably earn that distinction by being fun and simple, so don't worry if your ideas appear to be mundane. As to the question "what makes an adventure great?" I would have to say it is the interaction between all of the players and the dm. Even the...

    Ideal Published Adventure Campaign

I would try not to plan so far ahead. When I DM I prefer to see how things play out at the table, so having adventures planned out over the life of a campaign would be difficult. Start with one adventure and see where it takes you. NTZ

My first FFG purchase (A review of sorts)

Shipping for me was about $21 for UPS Ground. That was for 20 books and 15 instant adventures. NTZ

New Server Drive - donation and prize thread (Final total: $13,310!)

I don't think I have seen them. I received files for two days, but I think they were distributing them over three days. The last stuff I received were the Unorthodoxed Cleric, Fighter, and Bard files. NTZ

New Server Drive - donation and prize thread (Final total: $13,310!)

If you are curious how many Crothian really has you can pull up his profile. NTZ

    You get ONE item ...

Heward's Handy Haversack is a fun answer. You would be the coolest gamer at the table since you would probably have ALL of your D&D books right at your fingertips. :D I think I would want a Carpet of Flying as long as it had seatbelts. I would love to be able to commute to work flying over...

My first FFG purchase (A review of sorts)

I placed an order on Dec 9th and received it on Dec 16th. I chose UPS Ground shipping and I am very happy with the purchase. :) Since I had none of the Legends & Lairs books to begin with, I decided to buy one of everything. Wow.... now I have a lot of books to thumb through! In...

    Earthsea - Review

Taped Earthsea in order to watch it this weekend. So far I have only been able to choke down a half hour of it, but I will try to watch more of it. At least until I get to see Kristin Kreuk. :) When I stopped watching it this morning guess what was on tv? The Dungeons and Dragons movie! :\...

    format/style for Story Hours

Thanks Silver Moon, you answered a question I was planning on asking - write it in Word. I always wondered if people type some of the longer entries with Word instead of typing directly into the message board. I'm looking forward to GJ's story hour for the simple reason that I will be part of...

What are the canonical texts for the githyanki?

I also think githyanki are cool. One of my favorite issues of Dungeon magazine is #100. You may want to get a copy of that if you don't already have it. It has a ton of information on githyanki! NTZ

DM Takes 10 - Easy NPCs

Looks simple and straightforward so I will probably give it a try. I will be DMing for the first time in a long time soon, so I am on the look out for things like this to help me out. :D I laughed when I read trait number 25 on page 2. Just wondering how I would describe that during the game...

What do you think is the best campaign setting?

I'm encouraged to see a lot of people mentioning Midnight since this is the campaign setting I plan on using shortly with my group. :) Not much I can recommend because I have not played or ran many different settings. Greyhawk is what I grew up with and I am still familiar with from Living...

    Return to ...

Yup, this is the first one I thought of as well. I'm glad you beat me to it so I didn't have to look up how to spell it. :) NTZ

    Rate "The Incredibles"

:D I finally got to see The Incredibles today. A definite 10! Quite simply one of the best movies I have ever seen. I am surprised it took until page four of this thread before seeing a picture of the Heatmiser. Anyone else think of Otilukes Resilient Sphere? I am glad it was so good...
