    [Savage Species]Half-ogre overpowered??

I can see this going either way. A 10' reach is very potent ability, but there are several feats that can negate it. You can create an incredibly powerful half-ogre who uses reach weapons and feats to make this natural ability all the more powerful. Against another tank like fighter, this...

    Virtual Feats?

    Got it. Thanks, Osis!

    Virtual Feats?

Can somebody explain what is meant by virtual feats? It's come up quite a bit in ranger discussions and I'm not sure what the problem is.

D&D 3E: the Death of Imagination?

Imagination is a product of the DM and the players.

    Suffocating A Pit Fiend

I would agree. You can suffocate a creature with regeneration, but it's not a permanent means of killing it.

    Tough as Nails (Kalamar Feat)

This feat just seems...dumb. Here's my new feat: Improved Tough as Nails [General] Prerequisites: Con 13+, Tough as Nails Benefit: You don't take any damage any more because you're just that tough.

Sunless Citadel question: opening a can of wyrms..spoilers)

I'd pick something you're comfortable giving them. Perhaps 2,000 GP is a lot of gold to the PC's right now. It allows them to buy some magic items with it, but nothing really out of the ballpark. Higher than that, it might be too much to give them at this point. Just don't let the players...

    Suffocating A Pit Fiend

How did you inflict subdual damage on the pit fiend? Don't you need a +3 weapon to do any damage at all?

Question: Is there any restriction in the license that prevents someone from creating a creature called an "Eye Tyrant" which bares a shockingly similar resemblence? :D

    3.ER -- Manyshot? !

This is a good point, though I wouldn't disregard the impact of the critical hit and sneak attack. Unless you are fighting tons of undead and constructs, I think it would come into play in the majority of encounters. Also the 30' range does put the archer in more jeopardy. Again, I'd have to...

So, the B*h*ld*r is no longer OGC...

I'm not a lawyer either, but I imagine a good lawyer could also tear this to shreds. The "draft" was published on the OGF website for a couple of years now, and it could be argued that if it was never meant to be used as part of OGL then it never should've been posted to begin with...

Rapid Shot analysis by Sean Reynolds

But of course it increases the chance of hitting! It has to! If you have two attacks, and add a third attack, you will always increase your chance of hitting. If a feat gives you no extra advantage, then what is the point of the feat? This is what the feat is designed to do. That said...

Re: Re: Re: Re: True Strike + Improved Trip + improved disarm + Snatch weapon's attack... I admit I had to go over the description of IT a couple of times. Here's the feat as listed on SRD: Improved Trip [General] Prerequisites: Int 13+, Expertise. Benefit: If the character trips an...

True Strike + Improved Trip + improved disarm + Snatch weapon's attack...

Re: Re: True Strike + Improved Trip + improved disarm + Snatch weapon's attack... Are you sure about this? I'm sure this has been debated to death elsewhere, but IT says that it gives an add'l attack as if the first attack hadn't been made. To me, this sounds incredibly similar to a critical...

True Strike + Improved Trip + improved disarm + Snatch weapon's attack...

I'm not completely sure because I haven't read Snatch Weapon (Is that in Sword and Fist or OA?), but the True Strike would at least carry through to the disarm. Improved Trip is pretty specific in that it says you make an additional attack as if you hadn't used the first attack for your trip...

    3.ER -- Manyshot? !

What's interesting is that they modified the penalty for Manyshot. I wonder what other modifications will be made to existing feats. Perhaps come this summer all that talk about Rapid Shot will be moot! :D
  19. Q

    3.ER -- Manyshot? !

Doesn't sound too bad...it's giving you an extra attack per every five levels or so at a fairly substantial minus in addition to your normal movement. In addition, I like that they are very clear about what sneak attack and critical damage is applied to...the first shot. No ungodly stacking of...
