DDAL Polymorph and drop monster into a pickle jar.

I'd say they are shunted harmlessly to the nearest unnocupied space.

D&D 5E How much should it cost to use a permanent teleportation circle?

I imagine all those gold coins would be too hard.

D&D 5E How much should it cost to use a permanent teleportation circle?

Step 1: Build a really tall tower. Step 2: Inscribe a circle at the side of the tower. Step 3: Drop as many trade goods from the top of tower to the circle as you can in 6 seconds, perhaps by hanging a ton of them on the side with ropes and cutting them. Step 4: If momentum is maintained...

What is, in your opinion, the single WORST RPG ever made, and why is it so bad?

Interacting with the rules while playing D&D 3.5 always me wanna jump out of the nearest window.

D&D (2024) New Unearthed Arcana Playtest Includes Barbarian, Druid, and Monk

I figured I could check an adventure real quick, and found this in Storm King's Thunder, page 28: Which seems to go against the DMG on the handholds part, but the rope does negate the need to roll.

D&D (2024) New Unearthed Arcana Playtest Includes Barbarian, Druid, and Monk

Ironically, you can still wear Plate with 8 STR, you'll just get a -10 to your speed for it. Get a longstrider spell, and you're even.

D&D (2024) New Unearthed Arcana Playtest Includes Barbarian, Druid, and Monk

The variant encumbrance is rough even for strength characters. Iirc, an 18 STR Fighter can barely carry his starting equipment without a penalty, since armor and weapons are so heavy.

D&D General Allegations of AI Usage Cause unnecessary Controversy

There's already tons of AI videos with just made up stories about celebrities dying, or natural disasters destroying a city, etc, although I assume there's at least a human behind it to edit it together. But the scripts and voice are definitely AI, I ran into some a while ago, a few had hundreds...

D&D 4E Ben Riggs' "What the Heck Happened with 4th Edition?" seminar at Gen Con 2023

I recall looking into 4e shortly after starting with 5e, and mostly being turned off by the power presentation being so different. I've been thinking of giving the PHB another go recently, but I've heard a lot that the math was all broken on release, so never really felt like it was worth the...

D&D 5E No One Plays High Level?

The true use for Monks: use Evasion to dodge the shrapnel, Deflect Missiles to block the cannonballs, then stunlock whoever is firing.

D&D 5E No One Plays High Level?

I've only played high-level 5e in a westmarch, so mostly one-shots. Was pretty fun, but kinda ridiculous, monsters were pretty much all homebrew, and had insane abilities. One of them was like: Magic Resistance, Legendary Resistance, the normal stuff. Legendary Action teleport. 31 AC at base...

D&D 5E Natural Weapons, How Much Value Is There To Actually Having Them?

I do find it odd how weak most are, so I guess they're mostly ribbons. They could be useful in a situation where bringing weapons would be innapropriate, like in a temple, or fancy dinner/party, but the hosts asking you to cut off your claws would be rude. Edit: I like the idea of extra...
