I don't think so. Magic is included (casting spells like skills) and sorcery (short magical incantations that cause a supernatural effect and automatically works except when successfully resisted). There is a spell to summon a demon and a spell to summon an elemental.

If I was playing D&D 5E I'd get the Player's Guide PDF for the mechanist class and beastkin lineage. I do appreciate that for those buying both books that they knocked $19 off the combined price. Along with free PDFs to go with the paper.

Agree. The world and city building rules create a world of Law versus Chaos without relying on the rest of the rules. The regional adventure seeds would also be helpful in any sword and sorcery campaign.

Glad the interview was helpful. Kobayashi does great work with providing both players and GMs lots of tools to actually play his RPG and he does so by creating a concise well written and organized RPG. And like I said, the art is stunning as well.
