D&D 5E (2014) Raven Queen Pact of The Chain

I just realized the problem with invisibly spell. It requires Concentration.

D&D 5E (2014) Raven Queen Pact of The Chain

So I was looking at UA and saw Raven Queen warlock. I was looking it over and I saw something interesting about the Sentinel Raven. It isn’t a familiar. This means if you take Pact of The Chain you get two familiars. Then if you get Invisibility you can cast it on the Sentinel Raven making it...

    D&D 5E (2014) Rogue’s Aim+Mount

Cunning Action: Aim 2nd-level rogue feature (enhances Cunning Action) You gain an additional way to use your Cunning Action: carefully aiming your next attack. As a bonus action, you give yourself advantage on your next attack roll on the current turn. You can use this bonus action only if you...

    D&D 5E (2014) Rogue Starting Feat

The maneuvers that we’re melee only we made ranged variants. The problem I meant was there are no Battlemaster Maneuvers that are ranged only. I was not paying attention while I was typing.

    D&D 5E (2014) Rogue Starting Feat

The problem is that it’s melee only. (Extremely Dumb) We houseruled it where you pick ranged or melee and that’s what it affects. The problem with a lot of fighter subclasses is they are one of the 2 melee or ranged.

    D&D 5E (2014) Rogue Starting Feat

What about other Fighter subclasses? Samurai allows you movement with the ability to gain advantage as a bonus action. Arcane Archer could do more damage and so on.

    D&D 5E (2014) Rogue Starting Feat

Seriousness. Having it full of pillows makes sure that my familiar wouldn’t die in it from sharp objects and makes it seem like it’s full. I would keep all my junk like gold, silver, and currencies in there as well since they have no value. I then have a secret compartment where I keep an item...

    D&D 5E (2014) Rogue Starting Feat

Yes I expect my pet Owl to die all the time. I only let him free from the backpack if I’m in melee. Being in the bag counts as full cover and if he’s still as a statue and added some pillows it wouldn’t look suspicious.

    D&D 5E (2014) Rogue Starting Feat

One word. Familiar. The game the DM runs is high magic so a ring of spell storing would be reasonable to rent for an hour. Have the Bard cast Find Familiar into it and have myself cast it and now I have a pet owl familiar. The Bard has Ritual Caster.

    D&D 5E (2014) Rogue Starting Feat

I honestly hate not multiclassing since I find it extremely boring to just be a Thief Rogue or Swashbuckler. Multiclassing I find fun for RP and story. I most likely will take 3 levels and not 5 since I would miss out on a lot of rogue abilities at later levels.

    D&D 5E (2014) Rogue Starting Feat

I wouldn’t benefit from Elven Accuracy, but I’m still Sneak Attacking with two short swords. Sharpshooter vs. Elven Accuracy is when I’m using my Longbow, I wouldn’t benefit from both when I’m within 5ft. Crossbow doesn’t have any range compared to a longbow.

    D&D 5E (2014) Rogue Starting Feat

I haven’t thought of that. I’m still going to take Sharpshooter for the range. Having the melee attackers take awhile to get to me would be nice and in an enclosed room I would have the Paladin as Protection while I take out my Shortswords

    D&D 5E (2014) Rogue Starting Feat

I wouldn’t benefit from using a hand crossbow since I’m eat I wouldn’t benefit from the bonus action attack since that’s being eaten by me using up Aim from Cunning Action. No disadvantage while being within 5ft is literally pointless if I’m 300ft away. I plan on being as far as possible and if...

    D&D 5E (2014) Rogue Starting Feat

I meant canceled by having advantage since I have advantage I have a higher chance of hitting with Sharpshooter gaining a +10 to damage.

    D&D 5E (2014) Rogue Starting Feat

So my home games you start off with a feat to allow more options at early levels. The DM and I wanted to test out the new class variants to see how balanced they are and if they break anything. I decided to play rogue and be using a bow since I have never done a ranged attacker outside of a...

    D&D 5E (2014) GWM+Longbow

Let’s agree that improvised weapons in DnD isn’t explained the best. It makes no sense that the gnome can throw a greataxe or a longbow has the same effects of as a great sword.

    D&D 5E (2014) GWM+Longbow

There is no point of having an argument over a useless bit of the game since no one would use a dagger with no proficiency instead of a greatsword with proficiency.

    D&D 5E (2014) GWM+Longbow

Now hear me out, Great Weapon Master I know is meant for heavy melee weapons, but still technically works for a longbow. If you used as an improvised weapon it technically is a heavy weapon used as melee. To use the damage increase it needs to be a heavy weapon and used for melee. Not a melee...

D&D 5E (2014) Elven Rogue with advantage and Elven Accuracy. Is diping into fighter to get the Archery Fighting Style overkill?

So if a Elven Rogue with Sharpshooter, Elven accuracy dipping into fighter for the Archery Fighting Style overkill?
