If I recall correctly, Ben Riggs charts show DS being the worst selling of all the major 2E settings. I don't know why people think it is going to be a success here.

Yeah. There is always a business center available so I can just whip up a few more between sessions if one was particularly bloody. I love Shadowdarklings.net. I can make interesting pre-gens very easily.

Right, but the problem of skill decay will not. That will get worse as the tools improve.

I am absolutely not a fan of the 2024 update, but I don't expect them to replace it. People seem to be adopting it and 3PPs are updating some of their bigger books for it via KSers etc. I assume it is here to stay for a while (sadly).

If you maintain rounds, you are just naming Action Points "seconds." If you really want seconds, you should do a continuous count like Hackmaster (the not joke version) did.

Also, if you want unmoderated chat, just make a Discord server.

The current player base is an order of magnitude or two larger than it has ever been. WotC could safely produce a lot more than they are currently.
