All the Different Types of Shapechangers

Since when did shapechangers become a subtype (I actually like the idea, though)? I'm clueless as to the changes made to things these days, but thanks for clearing that up.

All the Different Types of Shapechangers

Shapeshifters galore! You gotta love these things, mostly because even though they are all in the same category, they are very diverse-looking creatures.

All The Different Types of Dragons

Woah! Thanks everybody, but this is kind of overwhelming. I keep the lists, but I'm not too good at organizing them. I might leave something out. Where's Filby?

All The Different Types of Dragons

Alright, is that all of them?

All The Different Types of Dragons

What's a linnorm? And do these dragons exist in the D&D mythos yet?: -Lindwyrm -Tatzlwurm -Jabberwock -Guivre -Amphiptere -Jaculus -Ouroboros -Vouivre -Vishap I hope to convert all kinds of mythical beasts into 3e creature homebrews one of these days. Dragons are simple enough to understand, so...

Everyone knows the dealio by now, I'm sure.

All the Different Types of Giant-Kin

Actually, Krish, you're right. Since dragons are so popular, it's unlikely we will miss any. Dragons it is, then. Oh, and by the way, I've been saving these lists to my hard drive for future recollection.

All the Different Types of Giant-Kin

I don't know. So far, we've only done humanoids that one can find in every fantasy mythos. Now we're getting down to enhancements on the prior art as the ol' OGL would say. Now that all the humanoids (and the giant-kin) are taken care of, maybe we should start getting down to the other kinds of...

All the Different Types of Giant-Kin

Wow, I don't know how I missed this before. Hey, Sonikal, would you mind if I used the Trolgre for my hybrid list? And looking back at this thread, I'm inspired to get the classification train rolling again. Does anybody have any ideas for what to do next?

An Update on my Hybrid List

I was wondering if something like that existed. The troglodytes and lizardmen look compatible enough. I might change the trow entry in my hybrid list and replace it with a less interesting creature. Trows are a race of creatures, so deducing a potential species to mere hybrids kind of curtails...

    Monster Index

It would make a very interesting group effort to compile something like that. It's a shame that guy isn't interested.

    Monster Index

I wish I knew of a place like that, too. This is the best I could do: http://www.sulerin.com/creatures/creatures.asp?op=showletter&letter=a http://users.erols.com/mdjones/4gotnlor/s4-toc.htm It's hard to find good sources for anything. It's funny that in movies, people can use the internet to...

An Update on my Hybrid List

Somebody asked me not to make an everybody-can-do-everybody else kind of list, and that convinced me. Not only is it more practical, but it is also simpler. Remember, this doesn't include the more specific hybrids like half-fiends and whatnot. Just the basics. What do you think of this...

What Are All the Elementals and Paraelementals?

That's a good idea for those who like that kind of stuff, but I think fantasy should be separated somewhere along the line from real world icons. If they are well-known proper nouns, they should be excised from the default cosmology, if only to preserve the canon.

What Are All the Elementals and Paraelementals?

Remember, I'm relatively new to the D&D scene and I have NONE of the books, but I'm learning quickly. I just wondered what a half-elemental is.

What Are All the Elementals and Paraelementals?

I like the fact that 3e allows people to be more versatile. Especially Planescape. Everything was kind of limiting before. Felt like the whole world was already drawn out for you. I am also glad 3e disposed of the real world gods. That was a good move on their part. Names like Loki and Odin and...

What Are All the Elementals and Paraelementals?

What's interesting is I got a lot of the same possibilities that person who made that list came up with. The most notable being obsidian, pumice, and crystal. I just decided to replace those three with something more mundane because... well, obsidian and pumice seem a little too specific...
