AD&D 1e is my game but I also like 2e. After so many years of playing both I actually consider them the same game. Every spell, class, monster, item, adventure, campaign setting, race, skill system, and everything else is compatible for either with no work.

AD&D 2e does level slow but 1e levels up pretty fast. In 1e if you do treasure xp by the book then it levels the same speed if not faster than 3.0/3.5 till maybe 9th or 10th. Interesting look at the actual level speed comparing 1e to 3rd edition here...

Also THAC0 is just BAB (Base Attack Bonus) that goes down, you can run 1e/2e/3e modules and monsters on the fly. The monster has AC2 in 2e? In 3e its AC is 18. AC starts at 10 and goes down in 1e/2e and up and 3e. Its easy. I have run 1e using BAB and ascending AC many times.

New version of Rolemaster is out, and more core books to drop this year, that's what I am running. Also playing in a Savage Worlds Pathfinder game, its pretty dope.

Yep, 1e/2e is easy to run with THAC0 or without, or even to use Base Attack Bonus like 3e. Its all the same. I like THAC0 because the players can just tell me what AC they hit, no need for the to hit charts. But if they wanted to used Ascending BAB I could use that as well.

They might be a big name but making RM is a part time gig for them, its not even paying the bills.

Those are from Dragonmeet con in the UK I think. The POD version is coming in a few weeks after they do a few rounds of corrections.
