    D&D 5E (2024) This Feels Like 4E

I’m pretty sure that example is why it’s not agnostic. That just sounds like a nightmare to run to me. If players could do that, I’d switch over to the side who are against Masteries (and I currently love them)…

    D&D 5E (2024) This Feels Like 4E

Well, like I said, it's your table and your choice. Personally, I don't see it as intended at all. It just doesn't pass the sniff test for me. To me, the rules are there to enable heroic fiction. And constantly drawing and resheathing weapons multiple times in six seconds, every six seconds...

    D&D 5E (2024) This Feels Like 4E

Two reasons I can think of right off. One, it slows down play for everyone, and quickly becomes monotonous. Two, it is fictionally ridiculous. I’m not a heavy sim player, but picturing someone swapping out multiple weapons multiple times in six seconds is absolutely unbelievable. There is no...

    D&D 5E (2024) This Feels Like 4E

All that makes sense. Seriously, I do see why certain masteries are more valuable under certain situations. I guess I’ve just never been in a group where extracting the absolute maximum performance is such a high priority.

Heh…and we’re back to the ‘bag of rats’ issue. Technically allowed, but would never fly at my table.

    D&D 5E (2024) This Feels Like 4E

Well, that’s your choice. And as a DM, I wouldn’t tell you no (although I darn well will be paying attention to weight). But I have my doubts as to whether this is a widespread concern. I’ve seen a lot of fighters, and at most it seems to be a main weapon (or pair), a ranged weapon, and maybe...

    D&D 5E (2024) This Feels Like 4E

Oh yeah, and I have nothing against it if they choose to do so. Just not sure why its suddenly seen as a mandatory thing that they'll be forced to do. I would be enforcing encumbrance rules in that case though 😀

    D&D 5E (2024) This Feels Like 4E

I’m not sure what that has to do with the weapon juggling conundrum. And I’m not sure why wanting to carry 6 weapons is a problem, if they want to. But I also don’t see why knowing six Masteries means they have to carry six weapons. Having the option doesn’t mean needing to have the option...

    D&D 5E (2024) This Feels Like 4E

The way I see it, weapon juggling is very much in the same ballpark as the Bag of Rats, and the Peasant Railgun. Sure, it’s technically allowed, but obviously against the spirit of rules. Doesn’t mean players won’t try to take advantage. I’m sure we’ve all had players like that at some...

Trailer Avengers: Doomsday | Only in Theaters December 18, 2026

True. But for me, there’s a difference between “You wouldn’t believe what it took to get my kid to cut the grass” and saying the same thing for a professional acting job in a movie likely costing hundreds of millions of dollars.

Trailer Avengers: Doomsday | Only in Theaters December 18, 2026

Heh…I must be bored, I have no idea why I picked this windmill today… Sure. But she was ready to quit after one take, and had to be bribed to get back on the set. Maybe she’ll still do a good job. But I still think hiring a dedicated actor would probably provide a better one. If she doesn’t...

Trailer Avengers: Doomsday | Only in Theaters December 18, 2026

Yeah, I read it. It’s not the bribe. It’s the fact she clearly had no interest in being there. I’m not trying to mountain this molehill, but I can’t help but think her acting isn’t going to be exactly top notch.

Trailer Avengers: Doomsday | Only in Theaters December 18, 2026

Sure, teens are grumpy and uncooperative. I’m just questioning the wisdom of whether using a grumpy and uncooperative teen is going to make for a good movie. Versus hiring someone who is interested and invested. She didn’t even know if she was getting paid? This is not someone who spent...

Geez, maybe it would have been better to recast an actor who actually, you know, wanted to be there?

Who Should Make The Next Star Wars TTRPG, And What Should It Look Like?

I'll go out on a limb and speculate that the Bladerunner license cost a fraction of what the Star Wars one would. Making a limited product line more viable.

D&D General Unprofessional spoilers: it's not like it was hard to figure out but still...

And this isn't a case of "past its spoiler date". He was clearly a vampire right on the cover of the original adventure. He couldn't be anymore obviously a vampire if he wore a t-shirt that said "I'm a vampire! Ask me how!" (Which annoyed the heck out of 12 year old me, who desperately wanted...

Well, to me, that’s not kids. But like I said, my own terminology. I see kids as “younger than teens”.

Spoilers Stranger Things Season 5 - SPOILERS

Well, it’s a tv show. I’m not sure I’d say it was a kids show… (Of course, I’m apparently one of the weird parents who wouldn’t let a kindergarten kid watch the Walking Dead, so what do I know :) )
