D&D 5E New character for level 7 game

As I noted in another post, I didn't want to deal with minions/pets. I have done that a lot in other games and just didn't want to deal with it. I went with lore bard as it allowed me to help support and heal, but also shore up skills the monk and paladin were lacking. Thanks everyone for ideas.

Decent support ability and not a lot of things to keep track of. :)

I actually contemplated a divine soul sorcerer too.

D&D 5E New character for level 7 game

I am leaning towards a lore bard actually now. I don't want to deal with minions.

D&D 5E New character for level 7 game

So I am thinking of a new character. The party will be 3 PCs counting me. Level 7, heroic point buy- 32 points (max 16 before racial mods). PCs in party- dragon born glory paladin and tabaxi drunken master monk. Now I do have a rune knight fighter, but I feel like I really should bring...

No thanks, not really wanting to be an arcane trickster.

I think we have enough healing coverage with two druids, so I don't really want to play a divine soul sorcerer, not saying it can't be fun. Eloquence bard... I will take a look.

D&D 5E New character, decisions, decisions

Thank you! We actually don't have much fight unless the person playing the monk is playing (which is rare), or the guy with the barbarian/fighter is able to show up. That was why I was leaning towards sword bard (plus last bard I played was Lore and I feel cheesy doing it again). True another...

D&D 5E New character, decisions, decisions

So my dwarf rogue (thief) has died in the campaign and the party unfortunately doesn't have the resources right now to get him back. So, time to roll up a new character. I rolled decent ability scores (16, 15, 15, 14, 13, 11). The average party level is 9. The party consists of two druids 9 (yes...

    D&D 5E Backup/replacement character ideas

I ended up bringing in a Goblin Barbarian (Totem Warrior). A tough small son of a gun!

    D&D 5E Backup/replacement character ideas

Yeah another high charisma character probably would be a bit much. I don't really want to bring in another arcane character since there is the wizard, warlock and Bard in the party. I definitely would entertain a bladesinger if there weren't already three arcane casters. Thanks!

    D&D 5E Backup/replacement character ideas

So, my level 15 Battlemaster fighter has been taken out and the party cannot get him back right now... So I need to bring in another character. Currently the remaining party is a Warlock (Fathomless) and Bard (Spirit from UA), a wizard (conjurer) and a warrior Sidekick. So, I was thinking I...

    Game Design Masterclass: Going Diceless

Speaking of diceless games, Everway has a soft spot in my heart. Ran a lot of it back in the late 90's. Still own the boxed set and a copy of the Spherewalker's Sourcebook. Heck have a ton of the cards in a deckbox too!
