Rolling to Hit: A Sacred Cow that should have been slain?

I was just waiting for when someone would actually start asking for WoW mechanics to hit D&D. Didn't even take long. 4E is such a failure. Catering to the wrong kind of people :( It's fine that you play MMOs (I do myself) but don't try to make D&D into a computer game because you lack...

Bard & Sorcerer - what should they be?

The bard in 3.5 was only full of fail because his bonuses were morale bonuses and thus didn't stack with the cleric buffs (which were equally good). At the same time the Bard didn't have enough combat power in itself and the spell selection was too limited. You can make the bard a very...

I cast a blast spell, you say: how high?

There are no rules according to what I see on the vertical dimension of blasts. Everything seems to happen statically on the horizontal dimension. D&D 4e is a 2D game... I want my money and 3.5e back - just redesign melee classes and give monsters more hp and everything is fine! Here's the...

I cast a blast spell, you say: how high?

That makes no sense... A blast must necessary be the same in all direction, although the idea of a disc 5' high instead of a cube sounds weird. So a blast must be 5x5x5 squares. Otherwise, why is there no rule to make an acrobatic check to jump up and avoid being hit altogether?

D&D 4E Completed 4e Druid (Updated 7/11, New Items; More Versatile)

Goodberry should be a ritual I believe. It hardly fits the nature of a utility power.

    Not liking multiclass rules

You don't have to choose to take a paragon path when you multiclass. You don't give your main paragon path up either. The 3 power swap feats are not needed. You can take 1, 2 or 3. The powers can be retrained later and you can effectively be a fighter/wizard 20 and have a wizard lvl 20 daily...

    Wizard/Ranger multiclass questions

Wow :) Thanks for the quick answers. Splendid feedback as well. Will do a bit of rule digging when I get my hands on the books though - but this could potentially be my first houserule (after a while and running a few number's tests).

    Wizard/Ranger multiclass questions

Hey all, just popped in to ask a few questions regarding multiclassing. I might be on the wrong track here, but I'm reading the rangers [W] powers and the Wizard's Magic Missile daily at will as a ranged attack you can use instead of a "weapon attack". So the way I read it, a power like Twin...
