Then let me clarify my post: I could spend 1 grand on RPG books, but so far I have not found that many useful books - my limiting factor is my free time, and I do not plan to spend too much money on books I never read or use in a game. So far I have bought any d20 supplement that caught my fancy - but not many did. I have not much use for another sourcebook full of minmaxing feats and Prestige Classes, or settings I will never use.

Actually, I wasn't addressing your post - what you listed was pretty much what was asked for. You posted while I was still trying to think of everything I'd buy.

If I had that much money to spend, and I really had absolutely no debt for it to go toward, and no need to add it to my savings, I would in all seriousness donate it to charity. Who needs all these silly supplements, anyway?

I'd buy some Scarred Lands stuff, since I keep hearing about how good it is.

I'd buy some more WotC splatbooks, so maybe I'd actually know what all these prestige classes are all about.

Monster Manuals.

I'd buy some minis and pay someone more talented than I to paint them.

I'd likely try to save some for the upcoming must haves: Savage species, and Races of Faerûn.

If I could actually find a copy of Nyambe to browse through, I might buy it.

I'd definitely look over the Quintessential X books, a bit closer. As well as the LLG books.

I'd probably buy a few board games as well,

I'd also see if I couldn't convince WotC to let me subscribe to their Dragon and Dungeon magazines once again... although by now, I wouldn't get too excited.

I could even splurge out and grab a couple of books about Necromancy; SL:Hollowfaust, is on the "could bear to own" list.

I'd definitely use some of the cash to get a broadband connection... this modem is killing me...seeing how most surf time is spent here, I regard that expenditure is RPG related.

I have to agree with Number47 (to an extent - rather than a Charity it would go to my kids college fund - a charity of sorts)

At this point, I have to say that I will only buy supplements on a very selective case by case basis. Now that d20 has been out for 2 years, I feel that most of the "missing" areas of D&D have been filled (and purchased) - and as such, it is time to give my imagination time to shine.

I suspect that I might pick up a campaign book here and there, to stimulate ideas, but between this site and myself, my d20 needs are pretty much sated.

Easy decision for me.

$1000 worth of miniatures. I'd concentrate on monsters first. When the party encounters 50 kobolds, I want to have 50 kobolds to put on the table.

Then we need orcs, goblins, gnolls, drow, and other baddies typically encountered en masse.

Once I had a stable of basic monster miniatures, I'd get one of each color dragon.

Then I'd get one of each basic race in each character class, male and female.

Any money left over I'd buy myself a sweat-shop worker to paint it all!

This task would be made easier by the fact that WOTC stores are selling Chainmail at 75% off right now...

I'll need it after I tell my girlfriend I just dropped $250 on Planescape ESDs...

Don't do it! I just bought 8 of them and only 1 is legible when printed. Most of them are barely legible on screen, for that matter. The contrast is atrocious.

Speaking of which, does anyone know a faster and easier way to fix the contrast on a pdf without taking the fool thing apart and doing each page individually? I'm not about to spend 100 man hours or more to clean up a $40 purchase...

I'm something of a collector so....

I'd pick up the few OD&D and AD&D items I really want...a few modules (u series, Some JG stuff), the G,DG, & H supplement. A couple of FR items. Top Secret (circa 1980) and TS002 (Rapidstrike)

Then I'd pick up a few of the Runequest 2 items that have eluded me and/or I bought and sold years ago: Borderlands, Questworld, Griffin Mountain, Soloquest1.

There's quite a few MERP items I'd like to have. I've got most of the RM items I want.

Ahh..more Chaosium: There's a few CoC items I've been wanting as well as SuperWorld (the full boxed set, not the WoW version).

Hero Games' Justice, Inc and Espionage.

MSPE (lost an auction on ebay this weekend...)

James Bond Basic Set.

The Morrow Project.

Basically just a bunch of stuff I used to have when I was a kid.
