45) Had an adventuring-lifetime's worth of bathroom breaks to take at once
46) Thought he needed to "train" to gain his next level up
47) Was busy reading magical tomes to explain to him how he would be changed during the next rules iteration
48) Went chasing the underwear gnomes in the middle of the night (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/StepThreeProfit) and will come back to the party with great ideas for looting the next hideout
