101 Simple Epic Encounters

6? A 22 foot tall humanoid head appears, floating over the city forum. The severed head is enraged that the city residents are not having enough 'fun'. It has a powerful, long range psionic blast power (roll on 1e dmg table for effect result), as well as telekinesis and forcefield projection.

It only attacks those whose minds it can read and "aren't having fun". Gather a group of friends and throw a party or something, that usually works :)

When you run a weekly game for 32 YEARS w/the same players, let me know and Ill take DMing advice from you

Why are you being so incredibly hostile to other people? You might try considering whether they have a point. Surely you can see how people, perhaps those without 32 years of DMing experience and perhaps many of those who do or more, might find an adventure centered around a monster that surprises the players and turns them to stone without much interaction might not be a lot of fun. If there's some mitigating factor that keeps things interactive and fun it'd be helpful if you explained what you had in mind.

Also just please stop being angry, dismissive, and rude.

It's cool. So tell us more about this epic basilisk.

Ok,to be more specific,My play group started a new campain at epic levels. They are going to be infultrating a series of planes to go into a planeswalkers "backdoor".
The Basilisk is a "trap"Im going to run Monday,he is gaurding a planer gate that they need to go through to progress on their path.It will work because the rounds will go incredably fast.Everybody rolls their D6 and may or may not get to go.The only obstical is the Basilisk.so I will tell as they get stoner(ha ha)

7) A great storm gathers over the region. Thunder, lightning, and hail continue for days. Refugees are flocking to the villages and cities out of floodplains and in higher grounds. They bring rumors of a legion of storm giants calling for war. Meanwhile, the remaining crops are being ruined from the extreme rain.

8) a carneval appears, travelling in from another dimension, full with things weird and wonderful. However, The trickster god in charge of it is intent on adding what is weird and wonderful at *this* place to his collection...

9) A band of not-quite-epic adventurers arrive in the PCs lands, and start stirring up trouble by looting the hoards of absentee dragons and collapsing dungeons with spells like earthquake. The PCs have to face irate monsters and decide which side to take - the "traditional" monsters vs. the "modern" adventurers. This can be especially poignant if the PCs bested some of these monsters, but let them live, perhaps even making them vassals.

10) A wizard tries to recreate a long-lost love after resurrecting her has failed. Accidentaly he turns everybody within a five mile radius, man or monster, into a clone of her.

11. A group of seven men approaches. They are following the road east, and are making good time, neither tarrying nor running. Their faces are expressionless. One is dressed as a cleric of some sort, and another is dressed as a traveling drummer. The others could be peasants or serfs going from one location to another for the harvest season. Each carries some sort of weapon. It is plain that they are not soldiers by their haphazard way of walking. They do not seem to be joking loudly or singing as they advance.
