To answer your question, Patlin, originally I had hoped the the LEW judges wasn't going to follow the multi-classing rules for the paladin so that Ishmael could be Sor 2/Pal 3/DD10 or something to that effect.

But it works just as well for me to have Ishmael take two levels of fighter on his next few levels (spending all his skill points to get knowledge arcana: 8). At 6th level, he can start down the path of the DD. After 15th level, I don't really mind what happens to Ishmael next. Maybe, he'll qualify for another PrC (probably Horizon Walker if there are no new LEW PrCs that fit him) by that time. Or else take levels in rogue or some other class.

If we both make it to higher levels, it will be interesting to have the two half dragons meet at some point. Other than the one level of Sorcerer, Barbarian and Dragon Disciple are going to be it for me.

I don't have the DMG in front of me, but I could have sworn that there was some text in the rules for the class that require the character to pick a variety of dragon that matches the characters alignment.
