110K Gold, 18th lvl monk, any item out of the DMG

Grapeshot

First Post
What item or items would you get as an 18th level norse hand to hand fighter (monk template, with a tad changes) if you could choose any item out of the DMG.

Items I already have

Champion Monk's Belt
Gloves of natural attack +2
Periapt of Wisdom +4
Ring of resistance +2
Bracers of Armor +2
Boots of Springing and Striding
Scarab of protection
Goggles of night
Owl Gorget (2 ac plus owl form 3x a day)

My modified BAB is 20/20/20/15/10 on flurry. My AC is 27. I have 126 Hp's. My saves are 15 f/ 17 r/ 18 w. My character is deaf (he sacraficed his ears to Odin) so my init is 0, and I cannot hear anything. He is a human.

What do you suggest as far as for fighting a bunch of high lvl demons? We destroyed this artifact and they have been unleashed in the Jarldom. +5 gloves of Demon bane? Or maybe I should raise my Saves?

Suggestions? Ideas?

PS Our DM has never in the past let us choose treasure this way. A few games ago we took a portal that took us to another part of mystria that wasn't sodjerford or the northern reaches. We finished a huge quest (lost a few pc's) and the wizard king of the emerald city has granted us any choice from his magic collection, or he can create it for us.

If you can choose psionic items, I'd suggest one of the psychoactive skins - they work really well for unarmored characters!

Skin of the Hero: This psychoactive skin continually grants the wearer a +3 luck bonus to AC, a +3 luck bonus on all saving throws, and a +3 luck bonus on attack rolls.

Skin of Proteus: This psychoactive skin continually affects the wearer as the metamorphosis power. While in a form other than his or her natural form, the wearer does not appear to be wearing the skin.

Skin of the Troll: This psychoactive skin continually allows a living wearer to heal 1 point of damage per level every hour rather than every day. (This ability cannot be aided by the Heal skill.) Subdual damage heals at a rate of 1 point per level every 5 minutes. If the wearer loses a limb, an organ, or any other body part while wearing this skin, the skin regenerates it. In either case, only damage taken while wearing this skin outermost is regenerated.

Tome of Understanding +4. Inherent bonuses to stats are great and once you read the book, you can never lose the benefit of the money spent (until you can afford +5 or epic tome of understanding).

Your AC is way too low and you have no defense from criticals, so moderate fortification bracers of armor +7 (100,000 gp) would be my choice. An item that grants a permanent shield effect costs a paltry 4,000 gp (spell level 1 x caster level 1 x 2,000 gp x 2 for a spell duration of 1 minute/level), so I'd go for that as well (even though I wouldn't allow such an item IMC).

It never hurts to have more bodies on the battlefield. I say get a Brazier of Commanding Fire Elementals or a Stone of Controlling Earth Elementals. For a monk, I'd lean towards the Fire Elementals since they are much quicker and can more easily keep up with your high speed, plus they don't need a whole bunch of stone to animate. They aren't quite as tough as an 18th level character, but they can soak up a lot of damage and dish it out pretty well, too.

Bump

Right now, after I sell some stuff it looks like it's going to be...

+4 Holy Gloves (extra 2d6 vs evil)
+6 dex (raises my bab *weapon finese, and my armor)
+5 Bracers
