[12 to Midnight] Call for submissions

Prest0

First Post
12 to Midnight, an e-publisher of modern horror adventures and game aids, is seeking talented writers to help expand its catalog. Prior publishing credits are not necessary, but discipline and a deadline-oriented attitude are important. Payment is by royalty for full length adventures or $0.02/word for shorter works. Please follow the submissions guidelines on our site. Questions or clarifications may be directed to this forum, the 12 to Midnight forums, or by email to submissions at 12tomidnight.com.

What about copyright for authors? Do we retain them after publication?

It partially depends on the nature of the project. We retain the copyright on "work for hire" (short assignments), but for full adventures it's more negotiable. From a practical standpoint, it shouldn't make much difference. The author ALWAYS gets credit. Not many (if any) RPG publishers would want to go through the expense of publishing a work already in print from another publisher, and the beauty of PDF publishing means it's *never* out of print.

I have some short stories I might want to convert to scenario ideas. I'm working on a project that I'll finish within a week or so. Is there a deadline for submissions?

ClockworkJoe: No hard deadline, but the sooner the better. Assuming we get a good batch of submissions, we'll add them to the production schedule in the order they were approved.

CGriffin: We have very particular stylistic needs when it comes to artwork (we're a horror company after all). However, I just checked out your gallery and I like what I see. Please drop me an e-mail with your rates and typical time to complete a 1) 1/4 page greyscale image and 2) full page color cover.
