I never bothered to beat it on the NES, mostly because I beat it in the arcade. On a single quarter. Once I discovered there was a particular pattern based on the beats in "We Built This City (On Rock And Roll)" and "Walk Like An Egyptian" that meant you never got hit, it was easy - most of the time I didn't even need to look.die_kluge said:I'll give you the end game screen from the NES game "1942" exactly as it appeared after I beat it so many years ago:
Of course, I spent $5 in the jukebox, and REALLY pi$$ed off the old guys trying to play snooker in the arcade I was in. The $5 paid to play the two songs repeatedly - 17 times, with one extra play of Starship.

The end to the arcade one was one of the most interesting I've seen a machine do - it said "congratulations" (or maybe it was singular, I can't remember) and kicked out a quarter!
