I can't believe that the Fiendish codexes are both still here. They are not all that great.
On the contrary--I think they're the two best books WotC has done in years. I'm not surprised to see both of them in the final three.

PHB2 gets my vote. It's got some cool stuff, but not that cool. It's kinda like another Complete X book but without the narrow focus.

Wow! FC1 is soooo much better than FCII. I own them both, and like them both a lot (top 3-5 of all releases this year), but wow! Has everyone that is voting FCI read both books?

PHBII is the best book - it will see the most use of any book released in a long time.

Well, I just now saw this poll so I didn't get to vote as it is now closed. Not that my vote would have made a difference if I had based on the results. However, as I am concerned ,the result of this round is a travesty . The best 3.x supplement released by WOTC got voted off while the worst of this round, PHB2, still remains. :p

Nah. FC1 is the best book. Most use doesn't mean the best. The only reason PHB2 will get more use is that it is a book directed at players. ;)

Flavor is cool to read, but I tend to measure a book's quality on how much I use it. Just saying.

It makes me sad to see FCI getting whipped. :(

Ditto here. I think it was in large part due to being a "DM's book" and FC hatas targeting the stronger of the two. Oh well, it's true to the spirit of Survivor.

I doubt it.

There have only been a few comments made, but they all run contrary to your guess. And they run consistent with how and why I voted, which was because FCII was a really good book for my game and FCI was vastly WEAKER.

There are expections both ways of course, but when I read FCII it is like reading a book about how building devils into my future games. When I read FCI it is like the authors forgot about the players games and got carried award showing off the history of THEIR games. Or just showing their knowledge of past canon, either way it is only useful if you want your story told for you. That falls under the "paying them to play for me" category. (Of course IMHO, in the true spirit of Survivor)

Well, I voted for PHBII to go, but I have read both Fiendish Codices, and of the two I found "Tyrants of the Nine Hells" the stronger of the two.
