D&D (2024) 2024 is out...and yet.....where are the threads?

This is correct. When they gave out review copies the only limitation was holding off on posting content from inside the book until 1 August. Then today, days after many of us shot, edited, and posted videos, they suddenly had much higher restrictions on what should be posted. It’s a total pain in the ass. It makes our videos look like naughty word and makes them look like corporate jerks.

One other clarification, I wasn't under any NDA. Those who got the PDF of the book in late May signed an NDA that limited certain pages they couldn't show. I wasn't interested in an early review like that so I passed on it. If I had known all this drama was going to ruin my Saturday, I'd have passed on the review copy too.
Wow. That's super unfortunate. I know you have decisions to make about your future relationship with WotC, but have you considered telling them to take a long walk off a short pier and just keeping your video as is?

Name one.
I mean the company I work for is a small corporation (less than 50 people) and it treats its employees and customers well. During Covid the principals all took a pay cut so they didn't have to lay off anyone. That was pretty cool. On an even smaller scale I own a corporation and treat everyone fairly and respectfully.

However, these examples are a far cry from the large corporate entities like Hasbro. It is not really the same thing.

I've been quite surprised the last few days. I mean the books are OUT! the info is live and official! I expected dozens and dozens of threads discussing every crumb, every nuance.

Instead....its like half a dozen threads, and there are tons of sections in the book not even being discussed. We have links to a few videos covering a lot of things from the influencers....but very little actually posted in the forum.

Where did the hype go?
Psst....the book is out at GenCon. Which is still going on!

Yeah, it's pretty weird too. WoTC gives the DnD Shorts Guy a copy of their new 2024 PHB so that he can look at it and post a YouTube review of it on August 1st. Which he does so in great detail. Then the review goes private.

What was WoTC expecting the DnD Shorts Guy to do? Give praise to all of the 'good' stuff that's in the new PHB and hide all of the 'bad' stuff from everybody? 😛 They should have known better. 😋
That's not what happened at all. It had zero to do with what he was saying. He literally showed every single page of the book, in order. They expected him to, yah know, not violate copyright!
