Turns out that Curtis can kick some tail too! I loved that they were about to take down the solitaire-playing guy...hehehe.

Too bad about Driscoll's daughter, although she was filling the "Kim" role for the season. I did feel a little sorry for Driscoll, though. Looks like she's on her way out next week. Could this be the return of the former Mrs. Almeida?

Where was Behrooz this episode? At least we got to hear more from his mother's snakey-voice.

And how 'bout some applause for our hero Edgar!!!! Saved many a life. Not bad for a computer geek...

Ok, but here's my question: where do they go from here. It seems to me like this season should be called "12", and just end now. Will they really spend the next 12 hours chasing down this season's Dr. Evil, or is there another layer of horribleness to keep us tuned in for the rest of the season?

From the preview next week
It looks like they will have to face down the government conspiracy!

I really enjoyed this episode! Maybe because it felt so much like a season finale. I also liked seeing a new face kicking some butt in Curtis.

I kept rolling my eyes when they were going to Driscoll's daughter, then I felt bad as I didn't expect the suicide thing.

Did anyone else notice that the terrorists cell phone seemed to have CTU on speed dial? I really thought Curtis picked up the terrorists phone, did he actually pick his up off the terrorist? (Not terribly important obviously, but I'm curious if anyone noticed)

A lot of interrogations this season. I think Tony's interrogation of Dina has been my favorite so far. He really put the fear into her without actual bodily harm!

Yeah, for a change. I'm rather creeped out by the casual use of torture this season. Especially since, as far as we know, almost nobody that it's been used on has actually been guilty of anything! (Of course, I'd object to it even against the bad guys).

We thought this too, but then I realized that Forbes and the mole in the company had Curtis' phone already. They talked about it when it was ringing and they didn't want to answer it. Plus, when Curtis jacked up Forbes, he had just gotten off the phone. This phone was retrieved from his inside jacket pocket. It was enough to justify it in my mind, although we both found it jarring at first.

Of course, during the commerical breaks, the jokes ensued: "What do you want to do now?" "I have CTU on speed dial; let's prank call them!"

I liked the episode for the most part. I stood up and cheering when Driscoll's daughter died. My wife was offended, so I then had to explain myself.

1) The actress who plays the character SUCKS and I will be happy not to see her again.

2) The character seemed to be there only to "humanize" Driscoll and/or provide a tear-jerking moment of sympathy. Either way, it was a clumsy, stupid bit of writing, and I'm happy to see the end of it. I thought they did the stuff with Edgar's mom kind of ham-handedly, but this was really clumsy.

3) There has been far too little time spent on Jack as a character this season. Yeah, he's in scenes, but he's got a gun and/or torture implement in his hands and whoever he's after is the star of the scene. All the time wasted on the daughter could have been spent on him.

So good riddance to bad rubbish!

Agreed. Still felt bad that they had the girl commit suicide. She never should have been written in in the first place. It seemed like the baby from last year. Everytime they went back to that part of the "plot" it felt like fingernails on the blackboard.

Yes, it would have been much better if its wasn't there in the first place. Kim was the *annoying* part of Season 1. They don't need to keep that part for the formula to work! Ditch the stupid useless pointless hangers-on characters, please!!!!!!

Well, that was true of Season One as well, where they wrapped up all of the major plotlines at the end of Hour 13. Of course, that was because Fox has initially only ordered 13 episodes instead of the full 24 despite that being the show's concept, and the producers didn't want to leave the audience hanging. But after a clumsy week or two of restart they then followed that season up with an exciting ending, so I'm sure they'll do the same again here.
