24 3/14/05 Spoilers!

Good episode. Loved the firefight in the sporting goods store even though the Arab-American good guys who helped out Jack seemed a little too obvious a way of trying to appease those who were offended because the bad guys in this season of 24 are a middle eastern terrorist group.

And maybe it's just me, but I have to ask: When did Michelle turn into such a biatch? At least she mellowed out a little towards the end of the episode.

So, does anybody else think that the dismissal of Sarah will result in Chloe being brought back in?

Also, for those interested in spoilers, I found the following article:

Upcoming episode of 24 will focus on Jack Bauer eating a sandwich. ;)

Well Michelle would act like one, due to the fact of the circumstances from her past...but like you said, she mellowed...but after getting some advice. If people don't know the story about something, their gut reaction goes off first. As Michelle found out...she was way off base.

Chole back...oh please bring her back!!!! Sara...she blew away her position with her impatience.

And yes, with the whole store owner thing, FOX had to do that...no need to further explain, fett527's post said it all.

Did anyone catch that new Kelsey Grammar "Sketch Show" on Sunday? I think the actress playing Chloe is in that cast now. Alas. Maybe next season.

I liked the episode but I just had to wonder about the defense contractor going so overboard on "not being connected to terrorists". It doesn't matter, but how did they expect to deal with 2 dead civilians, (Jack and dude with bullet in his belly), the dead and K.O.ed security guards, the EMP bomb, the mercenaries and everybody the mercenaries bump into? Whatever.

I also find the huge conspiracy that not only melts down reactors but apparently is going to target the president just a tad questionable.

Now, this episode did remind me of my idea for the next 24. A 24 hour gun fight. Nothing but bullets and explosions for the entire season. That would keep me watching.

I suspect that the reactors have only a tangential relationship to the president. The bald terrorist dude (can't remember his name at the moment) mentioned to the guy in the army uniform that the president had to keep to his schedule. Earlier in the episode they established that the president is coming to LA, and Heller was telling him that he didn't think it was wise for the president to land. Last episode the terrorists talked to the guy in the military uniform, and discussed whether they were ready at the air force base.

I wonder if the events of the day are simply a big plot to lure the president into the area, and a rogue or sleeper agent in the military, who is a fighter pilot or something, is going to shoot Air Force One down?

Seems somewhat logical, but then, not being an American, maybe the plane has got force fields or something that I'm not aware of..:)

It's pretty obvious Jack is going to end up alone again at the end of this season... you'd think the writers would let him have a girlfriend for a season or two....

Air Force One is badass, but I don't think force fields are a part of its defenses. ;)

By the way, according to the Internet Movie Database, "Former President Palmer" will be making an appearance later this season.

I'm curious, since the Constitution doesn't allow the guy who resigned to become president if his successor's plane blows up in the sky, what do you think his role will be?

As far as I can remember, Palmer didn't resign. He didn't decide to run for reelection, like LBJ. I don't blame him either. I wouldn't run for reelection if I had nuke and an evil virus go off during my presidency.

Also, on the airbase plot: If I were an evil terrorist I would a) steal a fighter and shoot down Air Force One or b) steal a bomber and blow up something important.
