24 4e Style : Day 2

Leyra

“Thanks!” Leyra says to Nathan, then frantically rolls on the floor to extinguish the flames, hoping that one of her more melee-capable allies will move past her and take on the attacker.

OOC: Save vs. Daze (successful).

[sblock=OOC]Garrick stood up last turn so isn't prone. "gathering himself to his feet he prepared either to follow up his attack or to get out of a burning building!"[/sblock]

"Hey! That's not nice!" Garrick shifted backwards to get a better look at his opponent before unleashing another shuriken attack. This time however his speed upset his aim and his star thudded into the ceiling of the barn

[sblock=OOC]Yet another crap IC roll: this is getting beyond a joke![/sblock]

Invisible, Kern climbs back out the window onto the roof, attempts to hop over to the other roof, and dash toward where the sniper was. He takes a moment to glance again.[sblock=Actions]He's trying to get to the other roof. Probably at least two move actions; I'll roll Athletics just in case: 20. Not great. If he gets to the roof or can try to see, he'll use a minor to look: 31. Much better. I'm considering spending an action point if it only took one move to get to the other roof to move to the Drow (if I saw him) and then attack; otherwise I won't. Let me know what works/doesn't[/sblock]

Nathan shift in front of the door. He then shoot a lighting at the dragonborn, pulling his enemy to him. He then mark him.

[SBLOCK=OOC]Move: Shift in front of the door.

[sblock=ooc]
I think 20 should be enough to climb back up on the roof from the window.

Stealth vs 31 perception (1d20+16=30)

You spot the archer. He has cover from you (-2) from being crouched near the ledge.

I'll give youy some to finish your action.
[/sblock]

Kern spots the sniper and charges him, jumping to the other roof in the process. Taking advantage of his temporary invisibility, he nearly crush the drow's skull!

[sblock]
So I ran Kern, it was time to move to the next round.

With only a standard action left, and since I am loath to expand special ressources when I run a PC, charging seemed the best option. No need to roll for the jump, even without a running start Kern can't fail jumping 1 square.

Basic attack, +1 charge, CA, +3 damage for subtle mace (1d20+15+1+2=38, 1d8+10+3+3d8=35)

Of course, I rolled a critical... *sigh*

critical (3d6=11)

Total damage 56.
[/sblock]

[sblock=Nathan]If you pull a monster, pull him on the mat! And you didn't move your own token either. Make sure you are logged when you modify the map or it won't be reorded.[/sblock]

The warrior facing Dagran strikes him with a powerful blow, scoring blood.

[sblock=ooc]
Streetfighter vs Dagran, AC 31 (1d20+20=40, 2d6+6=13) Crit!

Critical damage (1d6+18=23)[/url
[/sblock]

Garrick is in trouble, faced with the agressive fighter but almost miraculously manage to dodge under the sword blow.

[sblock]
[url=http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2064969/]vs Garrick AC 26 (1d20+20=24, 2d6+6=11)

Pretty lucky, that. He only needed a 6 and would have slowed Garrick!
[/sblock]

The githyanki maneuvers in his room to get a good angle on Mirage and tries to fries his mind, with much success.

[sblock]
Psychic damage vs Will 21 (1d20+16=27, 2d8+3=17)
[/sblock]

The drow sniper steps back and tries to blind Kern with his fell magic but the agent closes his eyes in time.
[sblock]
vs Reflex 29 (1d20+17=24) Darkfire fails (it's a minor action)

vs AC 27, vs Fortitude 24 (1d20+19=29, 1d6+5=10, 1d20+17=22)

I used AC 27 and should even have been 26; The parrying dagger isn't drawn. It takes a minor action and Kern had no occasion to do it since he climbed on the roof.

The bolt hit, the poison doesn't.
[/sblock]

As Nathan is engaged in a struggle with a dragonborn raider, another comes charging through the alley behind him!

[sblock]
charge vs AC 31 (1d20+19+1=36, 2d6+5=14) hit
[/sblock]

The other raider attacks wildly but lack accuracy. He steps back to re-evaluate the situation.

[sblock]
Twin Strike (1d20+19=24, 2d6+5=12, 1d20+19=25, 2d6+5=11)
2 miss

Leyra

Leyra gets back to her feet and in order to support Dagran against the foe he is fending off, the cleric sends a beam of light in his direction, but the attack misses its mark.

Startled by the vehemence of the attack Garrick realised he had a fight on his hands. Quickly he activated one of his special skills and disappeared from sight. Then, swift as a striking cobra, he moved away in order to attack from an unexpected direction.

His shuriken thudded home with deadly force. But Garrick kept moving! Drawing on all his ability he somehow managed to let off another shot before darting away to try to hide from his assailant.
