[sblock=ooc]does the chariot count as a trap? I'm thinking of use the phantasmal terrain spell on the area where the chariot will roll this turn. that would give it +5 to hit the two monks it would roll over and would'nt affect my allies.[/sblock]

[sblock]Since I lifted it from the trap section of the DMG, I guess it count as one. ;)

Fair warning though; the difficult terrain applies to both enemies and allies. It's only the bonus to attack that is selective.

Also, the monks fully intend to try and move out of the way if it is in their power to do so; the traps moves last so they have an action before they get run over.

[sblock=ooc]From what I copied the difficult terrain will only affect enemies unless i copied it wrong. That being said its too bad I don't have an action point left cause I coule make them immobile too. And even then it doesnt create difficult terrain it only increases the movement penalty for enemies. So they'll be able to escape anyways. Hmm time to rethink.[/sblock]

As Leyra's holy light washes over him, Barrion suddenly feels much better.

Realizing he had to get out of the way of the whirling blade of death, Barrion drops his sunrod and activates his vambraces as he swings his sword at the monk blocking everyone from getting to Dagran, missing once again, but appearing in the darkened room.

Seeing light just feet away, Barrion teleports into the corner.

Move: Ethereal Stride to E15. +2 power bonus to defenses and concealment[/sblock]

[sblock=Question]The tentacles seem to have hit Garrick on a 19? His AC is 20 and his AC vs AoO is 26![/sblock]

[sblock]Tentacle attack vs reflex, not AC (and they have no AoO). Your reflex is 21 and I rolled 21. Look below at the entry 'Tentacle VS 21'.

Tentacle VS 21 (1d20+10=21, 1d6+3=9)

The line where I rolled 19 is actually Garrick's attack of opportunity.

AoO (1d20+9=19, 1d4+2=4)

That was you trying to hit the monk as he moved past you to hide in the side corridor in order to avoid getting hit by the whirling blade.

Garrick, confusion evident on his, half-witted features, decides to try once more to vault out of trouble. This time his nimble efforts are successful as he manages to avoid the black tentacles.

He lets fly a shuriken at the nearest monk but his aim is awry and his attack goes wide.

[sblock=Covers]Guys, you often forget to include cover or dim light in you calculation. Garrick had dim light penalty. Leyra and Mirage all had a cover penalty. It changes none of the results since everyone who hit did so by more than 2 but still, try to remember cover.

Mind you, I need to pay attention myself. Rereading the rules showed me that Dm3 and Nathan didn't have cover against each other last round... That too didn't change anything but still.

As a reminder; to determine if you can see a target, you draw a line from any corner of your own square and if it can reach any part of the target's square, you have LOS. But if the line is blocked one some part of the target's square, he has cover.

Take Leyra VS Dm5 for example; she can easily draw a line from her square in J10 to the monk in L13. But she can't a draw a clear line to the upper right part of L13 so the target has cover.

On the other hand, when fighting in Melee accross a corner, the connecting corner between the two square allows you to draw a line to any part of the target's square which means no cover, contrary to some of my previous rulings.

The monks in the corridor near Nathan are about to get run over by the machine. Unwilling to just dodge away, they try finish off the vulnerable warrior before retreating and the are joined by their colleague fighting from the corridor.

[sblock]Nathan is both dazed and flanked. I assume that Combat advantage don't stack so I just attack at +2.[/sblock]

VS AC 27 (1d20+14=32, 1d8+4=7, 1d20+14=18, 1d8+4=8) DM2 hits, DM3 misses
vs. AC 27 (1d20+14=30, 1d8+4=9) Dm4 hits

Then both monks then past Nathan to get to safety.

[sblock]Dazed characters can't flank but, surprisingly enough, I read nothing that says they can't perform attacks of opportunity (as opposed to sunned characters, for example). So here we go...[/sblock]

Nathan, weak and confused as he is, desperately flail at the retreating monks and clips one of them.

.vs AC 22 (1d20+9=19, 1d8+6=7, 1d20+9=24, 1d8+6=7) -2 for dim light, hits Dm4

[sblock]Might be a good occasion to use that frost backlash thingy against either Dm2 or Dm4...[/sblock]

These monks then surrounds Barrion.

The lone remaining monk in the corridor cannot charge Nathan for fear of the oncoming machine but he throws one his ghost shuriken and misses.

vs Ref 22 (1d20+10=18, 2d4+3=9)

The monk in the lockerroom doorways feels disoriented from Mirage assault so instead of trusting his aim he opts to summon another one of those pesky tentacles and let it do the work. The slimy thing wraps around Leyra.

vs ref 17 (1d20+10=20, 1d6+3=9) hit

The monks then moves out of sight in the locker room.

Meanwhile, the shadowhound wails again, hoping to soften the dwarf.

vs Will 16 (1d20+8=10)
recharge (1d6=5)

It then teleports accross Dagran, surprising him.

[sblock]Teleports 2 square to G23[/sblock]
vs AC 23 (1d20+13=32, 1d8+4+1d6=11) hit

Finally, the machine runs over Nathan's position but the swordmage his magic shield to deflect the blades and he survives for the moment.

vs AC 27 (1d20+10=17, 3d8+3=20)
