24 - 4e style

Mirage keeps blasting his fire burst at the zombie. This time the power scorches the zombie thoroughly, leaving patches of burnt skin hanging from the corpse. It barely holds itself together.

vs Reflex 16, vulnearbility fire 5 (1d20+10=30, 1d6+12=17)
critical (2d6=8)
critical; 18 + 8 = 26

Doing so, he advances toward the edge of the zombie's frost aura to try to stay away from the incoming zombie in the other corridor.

[sblock]
CZ1 : 24/71 hp bloodied.
CZ2 : 50/71

Mirage moved to L6

Dagran's solid blows nearly topple the zombie, but it still maintains its mockery of life. Dagran steels his resolve to resist the bitter cold. He easily ignore the lingering effects of the poison.

"Garrick, take down that zombie, I'll take care of the guard!"

OOC: I'll wait for Garrick to try to kill the Zombie, now he is almost death. Then I'll ligthning lure him away from his machine...

[sblock=HP]Garrick spent 2 surges thinking he had been cured by the cleric. Now that that cure didn't happen he would spend 3 surges to return to 40HP. As an aside, I would like to invoke Second Chance. Garrick's AC for that first attack is 24 - 20 +2 (armour special ability) +2 cover. I hope that works coz Garrick failed his save Roll Lookup [/sblock]
"Very well, I'll try for that cold blighter." Garrick unleashes another of his vicious throwing stars which thuds home with deadly force - on the wall of the corridor!
[sblock=OOC]Sly Flourish vs AC 21; 14 damage;Roll Lookup [/sblock]
":):):):)!

Nathan, seeing the zombie still up, take a new vial and throw it at the zombie. The acid hit but doesn't kill the zombie. Nathan stay there, waiting for teh acid to complete it's work.

[SBLOCK=OOC]Standard: Acid: 1d20+9=21, 1d10=5 and 5 ongoing.

Note: I just edit that post. I though Garrick had finish the zombie, but I then understand teh smilies was censure from teh board... he had miss, so I change my action.

Also, note I have the remianing acid vial as no one has claimed them and I have good use of them, as I have poor ranged option.[/SBLOCK]

second chance, vs AC 22 (1d20+8=14) miss

[sblock]-2 for cover is calculated in the attack roll, Garrick, so AC was 22.

I seem to have screwed the first roll which was high enough to hit but had some weird additions to the entry so I rerolled to get a clean one. Lucky you.

How many surge do you have left? Can't be much. [/sblock]

The zombie facing Dagran melt before his eyes. His arm drops falls off from his putrid body before the whole corpse crumble in a heap.

The soldier shows fanatical devotion as, confronted with overwhelming odds, he decides to operate the machine again rather than fleeing. It turns out to be a poor choice as his machine spew only a handful of darts that bounces harmlessly on armors.

targets (2d4=3) just 3 targets...
vs Dagran AC 25, vs Mirage AC 21 (1d20+10=12, 1d20+10=11) 2 miss
random selection of the targets behind cover; 1 Leyra, 2 Nathan, 3 Garrick (1d3=1) target Leyra
vs Leyra AC 24 (1d20+8=16) miss

[sblock]That is one lousy machine. I've been sold a lemon.[/sblock]

In an effort to gain some time, the soldier pulls the machine back in the corridor.

Meanwhile, in the other corridor, the mages fire at Barrion, whittling his defenses. They then tentatively leave cover and move up in the corridor.

vs Barrion's reflex 18 (1d20+8=19, 2d4+4=8, 1d20+8=18, 2d4+4=9) 2 hits

The remaining zombie charges and Barrion feels the deep cold but the zombie misses widely.

vs AC 22 (1d20+6=14, 1d6+4=6)
save (1d20=18) vs -2 to will

"If we don't get those cultist down soon it's all for nothing" It will take me too long to climb down there we need everyone with ranged attack to begin chewing up those cultists real soon!"

[sblock=actions]Move to S7. Charge to W7. Attack the Soldier.

16 damage

1d20+12=13, 4d6+11=28 ARGH!!@!!!!!!Crushing blow[/sblock]

Dagran throws himself into the fray with the solider, but despite throwing his heart into it, thw soldier doesn't fall.

We don't have time to waste, if we son't start killing cultists now, whatever we setting up to do better be pretty freaking spectacular!

Dagran : 42 / 66 [2] 10 temporary Hit points

[SBLOCK=OOC]As Dagran as not spend his Minor action, can we assume he spent it to pull the lever and open the door, so the others doesn't have to waste any more time one that?

That the kind of thing I would remind around a table to the player but hard to do in PbP.

EDIT: Thinking fo it, we could spend another round, trying to weakened or even kill the zombie and the gard. I think we can forgot teh two cultist outside, unless they come to us, and even then, they will arrive late.[/SBLOCK]
