24 (5/18) SPOILERS - When Cougars Attack part 2

"Ding dong, the witch is dead..."

Yes, you sang it as a child, and now you can belt it from the mountaintops... Sherri Palmer has finally been killed by Julia Millikin.

And I see they've already found the replacement for Chappelle. This new boss dude is even more heartless. But yes, I know, he's just sticking to the rules.

It really seems like there's an awful lot to tie up in just one more episode, but it seems that way every year.

And how about Jack dragging Jane into the hotel? That was pretty intense...

On a completely unrelated note, I just started watching Alias. A friend of mine let me borrow the first two seasons on DVD and I just finished watching the second season. Anybody else think that Jack Bristow is what Jack Bauer will be like in 20 years? The resemblance is uncanny. One can only hope that means that Kim will be like Sydney in that same time...but I doubt it.

Wow...I just hijacked my own thread in the first post, didn't I?

I have to admit, my pulse was pounding through a lot of this episode. The question of whether Jack would really throw Jane in the hotel (and his relieved look when Stephen gave in), the question of whether they would find the mystery vial, and, for the first time, I actually cared about the Palmer subplot.

That's not to say that it was great on all fronts, but I was definitely involved. Don't want to miss seeing how they tie it together next week.

Yes you did. Don't worry about it, I do it all the time.

I liked it. Good Ep.. I also really liked what they did with his daughter.

That said... it didn't make sense. The guy is supposedly so convinced about how america must be dealt with, prepared to kill millions of lives, yet he breaks when his daughter is threatened. That part I didn't liked. That villain was well built, and they turn him into a wuss in an instant.

I liked it better when you "totally agreed" with me...even if it is taken out of context! hehehe... (remember the sig?)

The guy loves his daughter. I don't see how that makes him a "wuss." He had always had much concern for his daughter, and couldn't allow her to suffer as he knew she would if taken inside.

Besides...I'll bet he's still got some tricks up his sleeve.

Now, back to agreeing with me... ;)

Yes, I do. I am honored.

I don't debate that, it just ruined his character's momentum. Screenplay.

Besides...I'll bet he's still got some tricks up his sleeve.
I'll take that bet.

That's an awful short time to pull tricks now. They barely have time to show Jack catching the last vial and wrapping the Sherri story.

Now, back to agreeing with me... ;)
Here's a new sig for you:

"TracerBullet is always right... sometimes" - Trainz

You're welcome.

I liked this episode... especially Jack threatening to throw Jane into the hotel. I can complete see him doing that, and it kind of emphasizes the difference between Jack and Tony. Jack believes that killing one life (well, two) is worth saving thousands of people. Tony on the other hand isn't willing to make that distinction. It's like Tony said, Jack may have been willing to sacrifice his wife to save people, but he sure ain't.

If the rumors about
Keifer Sutherland leaving the show are true, then I bet we'll see him get infected with the last vial of virus.

I find it an odd title by the way... if anything cougars have been oddly absent from this season's last episodes.

How is it that Chase is still alive? That boy is marked for death - has been from the first episode of the season.
Yeah... I wouldn't be surprised if they pulled a trick like in Armageddon.

Chase will be in a death situation, but Jack will "take the bullet" and pull some "Take care of my daughter" Bantha Poodoo.

*yawn*

Tonight's episode was pretty exciting. Two thumbs up!

The news had a story about the upcoming season finale of 24, and members of the crew mentioned that the season would end with a major surprise. Translation: Somebody is gonna die. ;)

To quote Teflon Billy (or paraphrase): Uh, dude.

It's 24, people die all the time, it might be more surprising if no one of significance dies.

What I'm wondering is whether Wayne gets in trouble for be at the scene of the murder suicide this season or next, or worse if his presence is just over looked.
