I´m also very pleased with Kim in this season. I´ve always felt that she´s the weak link in the show, and putting her at CTU feels much better than having her running around in bizarro-land encountering strange people.

Tony getting shot took me totally by surprise. That's one thing I love about this show - you can never guess what will come next (and if you do you'll be wrong half the time). The only thing I don't like about this season is the mole planted inside CTU. Seems far to similar to Nina in season one.

Ditto on both. I really hope there is a twist on the mole this season or maybe he has information on who helped them engineer the changes to the virus. Tony getting shot was a complete stunner.

So, Mr. Hot Shot Carlos Bernard....think you might get the top billing if Kiefer leaves?

Bang! ;)

Of course this gives the young lady who plays Tony's wife, Reiko I'm not even going to attempt her last name, a chance to shine this season. So far, I think she's doing great.

I just don't understand how they are going to get the cougar into CTU this season to stalk Kim again? I'm telling you that cougar isn't finished......it has a vendetta now. ;)

By the way Silver Moon, that was a very sweet story about your signature line.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way. Her part in Season 1 made sense, but her role in season 2 just felt like Kim Bauer's Excellent Adventure.

And to get even more sentimental about it, my Grandmother died half-a-year later, so if we hadn't dropped everything to go she would never have gotten to see her. Okay, enough sweetness for a "24" thread, back to the sex and violence.....

Kim serves an extremely improtant role in the storyline, namely attracting young male viewers to the show.

I also like the character of Palmer's brother this season, and won't cry at all if Sheri doesn't turn up. Kate Warner can stay out of it too as far as I am concerned, although her kid sister still interests me.

I seem to recall, and it was on one of those spoiler boards that can be reliable but isn't necessarily always true to form, that something was mentioned about one of the female villians being back around episode 8 or 9.

Right now, if that's true....no idea on who it might be....my money was on Nina when I first read that....but now, I'm not so sure.

Again, if it's true at all.

I'm betting that we find Kim in a life threatening situation by 10PM, and probably at least three by midnight. Personally, I love the irony in Jack setting Kim up with a job at CTU to keep her safe. CTU safe? Isn't that where her mother got murdered in season one, and where several dozen agents died in a bomb blast in season two. Heck, with that track record she'd probably be safer if he had left her sitting on a military weapons test range with a target painted on her back.

"This will be my last assingment, Mr President" - Jack Bauer.

At last a worthy contender to the mighty Alias who totally dominates this season so far.

Actually, while I haven't given up hope on 24 yet, I've completely switched minds on Alias. I now root for the bad guys, hoping Sydney, Vaughn and his wife as much grief as possible. Her father is the only "good" guy I give 2 cents about. Oh, and Marshall of course.

Well, I got that one right! And its not even 7PM yet!

So...was I the only one standing, fists pumping in the air, shouting out "SHOOT HER!!! SHOOT HER NOW!!!" at the end of that episode?

And what's happened to the virus now? Does the girl (Kyle's girlfriend) have it or something? I didn't follow that part...

Still waiting for Jack to get crazy and cut someone's head off with a hacksaw or something.

I miss the soul-patch...poor Tony.
