24 spoiler discussion, 4/20/2004

Oh don't get me wrong, it is awesome entertainment. Me and my wife unit watch it religiously.

The one thing that irks us the most though, is the fact that there's NO WAY IN HELL a government agency would let family members work together in such a perilous environment. Which is why in the army you don't have relatives in the same platoon.

Jack and his daughter, who's also the fiancee of Chase.

Tony and Michelle.

We've seen quite plainly in the last episode WHY it is forbidden. This, sadly, completely destroys any beleif we would have in the "realism" of the show, and that makes us not care about what happens to the characters.

About the only character that wasn't related to anyone has been shot. Of course, the two non-related left will possibly turn out to be traitors. Expediency at the cost of realism.

Other than that, and the plot holes, and Kim, and the time-warps (that show IS supposed to be in real time), and the anoying phone-rings (*trrrut* *trrrut* *TII-trrrut*), and the Sherri incident... yes, it is quite a good show...

... I guess.

Yeah, what was the point of the Sheri incident? They had enough evidence on her to bring her in for questioning, and yet the president vouches for her and all is forgotten. Oh and Sheri, you did exactly what needed to be done, which is why you're so evil. You disgust me. Thank you, now get out of my sight. And after that all is forgotten.

Huh?

It almost feels like the first half of the season and the second half are entirely different seasons altogether. What ever happened to Jack's withdrawal symptoms? Shouldn't he be needing a fix by now?

Heh.

Agree on all accounts.

I wanted to add Jack's addiction to my "things that suck on 24" list, but I was afraid putting more items on it would actually convince me to stop watching it. And I didn't get this far to stop now, no sir.

I figure that the adrenaline rush has temporarily replaced the cravings. Once things calm down again he'll be needing the fix.

Say what you will about plot holes, time warps, Kim, Sherri, and any other problems you have with the show...

BUT DON'T YOU DARE RIP ON THE PHONES! I've wanted one of those phones ever since this show started.

Ok, carry on.

We're all spoiled...this show is great.

Did anyone else think, even for a second, that Jack was going to rip Tony's face off when he was getting told about Kim?

That look he gave Tony...phew. I thought he was a dead man.

Of course, realistically, I knew that couldn't happen, but my gut reaction said, "Dear God, Tony! Run for your life! Jack's going to rip your face off!"

Anyone?

Another great moment in television brought to you by "24". (And Ford...)

I was hoping he would. If there's been one character that's really annoyed me this season, it's Tony. Chloe is a close second. Amazingly, Kim hasn't been all too annoying, just enough to be number three, and this episode just distanced her from the top two.

Despite all your negative comments and feelings (and yes they are all valid) i cant stop myself from loving this show.
Hey, I really like the show. Let's turn schyzo and quote myself:

"Oh don't get me wrong, it is awesome entertainment."
"I really like your show"
"Me and my wife unit watch it religiously."
"yes, it is quite a good show"
So I guess I have both negative and positive comments. The show's formula itself is simply quite genious (24 1 hour shows of a single 24 hour day), and that what's keep you going back for more.

If they had adressed the points that people agree need improvement (and are quite obvious, at least for a TV producer one would hope), then a next season of 24 would have been in the bag.

Now, not so sure...
