Well today is my birthday. 29 years of age. Funny, I don't feel a day older than 18. As a present to myself I'm washing bedsheets and taking a shower today. In other news, it hot enough here to boil an egg on the sidewalk.

Well, historical age statistics have always been heavily skewed by the number of people who didn't survive infancy or childhood...the people who actually made past adolescence tended to live at least into their 40s, more often their 50s, and it wasn't uncommon for peasants to make it to their 60s....

But, if you throw a whole bunch of 0s and 2s into your dataset, it's going to look like most people didn't live past their 20s.
