Oh, you need a healer? You ought to see Hashia, the cook at the River Tower Inn. She's the best in town, short of those arcane fools who’ll take all the coin you’ll ever earn. Not sure why she doesn’t advertise more…"

While you’re there might as well enjoy yourself. Good food, decent prices, beautiful dancers and other forms of entertainment!

Tell 'em Fohad sent ya...

Welcome to the River Tower Inn, a site that has collected more than it’s fair share of Un-commoners. Every character here is a potential plot hook. Have the NPCs interact and you have a ready made adventure.

The Syndicate's 2-D Heroes are more than just another gamemaster's aid. They are a time-saver that gives you all the stats for a full set of encounters that can be used time and time again. Need something different? Just mix-and-match the sets to fill your needs!

For every character in the set, there is a card with all the needed stats and skills, a paper mini, tokens (both the "alive" and "dead" versions!), and a blank combat card. Need more? Just print up an extra set! Customize the blank cards for your own characters! We recommend laminating the cards for more permanent use.

This set includes 12 unique characters. Also included are general instructions and a few adventure seeds, to help give you that "quick encounter" that every GM can use.

2D heroes Un-commoners

Here is one of those books that I occasionally get that I have not heard of or the company. That is not a bad thing or a good thing it just happens that some releases go a little under the radar. The PDF is only twenty five pages long and done in full color. The PDF has no book marks but it is designed to be printed out and assembled. The book does warn the color printing can be expensive and has clear cut rules for doing putting it all together so the book only needs to be printed once. Actually, just some of the pages need to be printed the directions and such do not.

The book takes us to the River Tower Inn. The place is not described but it is the people that are the important feature here. There are twelve characters described here. Instead of the normal stat blocks they have chosen to place the information on a well designed index card size area. The information is in nice color and double sided. Each character has a card and a little paper mini to be used on battle maps and the like.

The art on the cards and paper minis is a nice well detailed picture of the character. It looks like computer done art but I do not have the best eye for this sort of thing and might be wrong. At any rate it is well done. None of the character has any magical equipment or the ability to cast spells making them a bit simpler to use as magic complicates things. Each character has a short bit of personality and they are connected to each other.

The skill to put these together is not that great as even I was able to do it and I’m not the most handyman of people. A stronger paper is recommended and the rules instructions for putting it all together and simple and easy. The cards are easy to reference and use and it makes for some good NPCS.

The character though could use a little more detail. They are more role playing type NPCs but the stat blocks seems to focus too much on the numbers. I would have also liked to see the inn described some and greater detail given to the characters. The art though is nice and it looks good on the gaming table.
