D&D 3E/3.5 3.5 Errata Reporting

druid weapons proficiencies

I don't know if it's and errata or if it's intended, but as I read it, the druid no longer has forbidden weapons, he's just not proficient with somes.

The text only mention forbidden armors.

A druid could now use bows or swords (martial proficiencie still required to remove penalty).

Greatswordwielding druids :D

Error or intentional: Hide/Move Silent

I noticed that both the Hide and Move Silent entries list movement at greater than 1/2 but (less than full) speed at -5. They then state run/charge is -20.

What is the penalty for moving at full speed?

Submitted to Kim today: DMG p226/227

The table on page 227 lists the Assassin's Dagger as costing 10,302 gp. The text on page 226 lists the cost as 18,302.

Many of the entries in Table 7-17 (potions and oils) do not include notations for the choices the potion creator would have had to make. Examples I spotted were:

magic fang (should choose a natural weapon)
greater magic fang (as above except in the +1 case)
remove blindness/deafness (caster's choice as to which)
lesser restoration (either dispels penalties or cures temporary damage, and only to a single ability score)

Just sent these ones in.

Re: Druid Weapons

I believe it is intentional that Druids now have access to more weapons. There was a thread on Andy Collins' board or WotC where Andy states that Druids can use other weapons without any penalty (other than nonproficiency, which can be cured by a level in Fighter for example).

Silence Spell

Listed in short entries under Bard (182) and Cleric (184) as 15ft radius.
Listed in full description (279) as 20ft radius.

Strand of Prayer Beads (standard)

Price is listed at 25,800. By math, either the Bead of Karma is free, or the price should be 45,800.

From the SRD, Magic Items I (Basics and Creation), Creating Magical Items section, Table: Summary of Magic Item Creation Costs:

The Base Price of potions is listed as "25 x level of spell x level of caster." This should read "50 x level of spell x level of caster."

The Magic Supplies Cost of potions is listed as "1/2 x 25 x level of spell x level of caster." This should read "1/2 x 50 x level of spell x level of caster."

The Base Price of scrolls is listed as "12.5 x level of spell x level of caster." This should read "25 x level of spell x level of caster."

The Magic Supplies Cost of scrolls is listed as "1/2 x 12.5 x level of spell x level of caster." This should read "1/2 x 25 x level of spell x level of caster."

MM Lycanthropes

First One
In the Boar and the Dire Boar examples, the Ferocity "Special Attack" has become an "Special Quality".

Second One.
Under the "Special Attacks" section of "Creating a Lycanthrope" it says:
A lycanthrope retains the special attacks of the base creature or base animal, depending on which form it is using, and also gains the special attacks described below.
A lycanthrope’s hybrid form does not gain any special attacks of the base animal.
But in the Hill Diant Dire Wereboar example, the Hybrid Form does not gain the Rock Throwing "Special Attack". It is implied that in Hybrid form the creature retains its "Special Attacks", unless it should be changed into:
A lycanthrope’s hybrid form does not gain any special attacks of the base animal or the base creature. (emphasis mine)

Third
A compilation of the two mentioned above (and a very nifty way around the second one, might I add ;) ).
The WereBoar and the Dire Wereboar examples both have retained there "Special Attacks" (being Ferocity), but they changed to "Special Qualities".
