D&D 3E/3.5 3.5 Warlock and greatreach blast question

First Post
Suppose a 15th level 3.5 Warlock fires an eldritch blast at a buffed opponent. The warlock appliles greatreach blast to the eldritch blast and then applies the transform magic (greater dispel magic) invocation to the blast. My question is what resolves first...the eldritch blast damage or the greater dispel magic? I haven't been able to find an answer...perhaps the DM just needs to roll a die to determine the order.

Pick one and stick to it. I'd apply the damage first and then the debuff, so that the buffs have some effect-- otherwise, you're gaining at the expense of other classes who would have to use an entire action just for the debuff.

but this is a prestige class' capstone ability, debuff first imo because you can't "damage" your target until you get passed the defenses; plus the ability strictly says that you need only hit your target for the spell to take effect.
