Or he could quickened Maze, full attack, quickened meteor swarm full attack, quickened Gate, full attack if he wanted to--even if those are only 1/day SLAs, that's still pretty brutal. Maybe 20th level PCs will have no problem, but I doubt it.

Ah but quickened isn't as powerful now. No more two spells per round stuff!

Huh? Since when did this start?

Haste has been nerfed, but what's happened to Quicken Spell?

Cheers!

:)

So many changes, so little time to assimilate them all...

Incidentally, the Titan has Quicken Spell-Like Ability (Chain lightning) feat, not the Quicken Spell feat; it can't quicken anything but Chain Lightning, and that only three times per day.

Cheers!

Re

I thought they were going to lower the DR's when they changed the Damage Reduction. 15 is pretty high with the requirement for a lawful weapon. I guess I can assume that there is a spell that will make a weapon lawful because carrying around weapons for each alignment and material type is too tall an order for any party.

Damn. I wrote the SG to Titans a while back (dunno if it'll ever see print) and I went through this big long in-game explanation about how a race that was traditionally chaotic evil ended up chaotic good (it posited that the current titans were the kids of an elder race of nasty titans; the current gods defeated the elder titans and adopted/moulded their kids...). Now, WotC just change their alignment to what it should've been in the first place. Bah humbug.

DR 15 is supposed to be where DR tops out. I wouldn't be surprised if the Tarrasque has DR 20, but nothing other than The Big One (or epic-level monsters) should have more than 15.

Also, alignment-based DR is pretty easy to negate. Monks get to pierce Lawful DR at level 10 IIRC, and there's supposed to be a 1st or 2nd level spell that aligns a weapon for a while. Material-based DR will be where the real difficulties are.
