D&D 3E/3.5 3e books we can use in 4e

First Post
Lately I've been looking through the vast resources I have for 3e and deciding what I box up and what stays on the shelves. I know I'm going to give 4ed a try when it comes out and after the current M&M campaign comes to a close. And it's never too early to get a head start on a new game.

A few products that I think will make a good transition will be the Strange Places line of PDFs (and the print version of all five they had at Gen Con!!) by Dog Soul Publishing. While there are stats for things in the books they take a back seat to the creative ideas of the places and the bits of mystery those places incorporate. It's the kind of book that I think will be beneficial to the new game; one filled with creativity and good ideas and not dependent on the game rules and stats.

What other books do you plan on still using even after you start playing 4e?

Any products that feature maps (GR's Dungeons of Doom spring to mind).

I have wanted a copy of this in PDF for the past four years. Every GenCon, I talk to the folks at the Green Ronin booth about it. It seems to be a natural fit, since you could print out a single dungeon on a sheet, number it, use it and go. Of course, then you can reuse it later without worrying about writing in your book. Please Green Ronin, if you are reading this, give us a PDF copy of this fantastic product.

I've been selling off some books and Book of the Righteous barely managed to sell at all. It's one of the better ones out there with tons of flavor and very few crunch problems. It's crazy as so many of the 3.5 and 3.0 books sold very well.

All of them. ;)

As mentioned elsewhere, I see 4e less as the next edition and more as a different game. So it's perfectly feasible that I'll run 3e while playing in a 4e game.

I have a number of GR books that, while I have used some crunch from them, are really about the flavor and "fluff". This also includes things like Testement and other books in the Mythic Vistas line.

In fact, what we have seen so far for 4E makes the flavor in these books look really impressive.
