3E Elven adventure sought

First Post
Hi,

hope everybody is winding down before X-mas and have a minute to respond to my inquiry. I am looking for an adventure, which is set in an Elven forest (it's actually the Canolbarth. Mystara anybody?). While I have a lot of Dungeon magazine sitting on my shelf, I just do not have the time to flip through them all. So if anbody have a favorite, which could highlight roleplay of an elfven ranger/seeker of the mystic island and a half-elven sorceress, it would be highly appreciated if you can share this with me. The complete group consists of 5 PCs: dwarven fighter/battlengineer, dwarven cleric/exorcist, human thief/fighter. Average party level is around 13 and these folks are normally hunting demons. Well. better say, they try not to lose the first parts of the rod of 7 parts...

Thanks in advance for any feedback,

Hajo

What do you mean by Elven forest? Are there happy little elven villages, Lothlorien/Rivendale? Or are we talking an ancient sylvan forest where only elves fear to tread?

Not that I guess it matters that much... no Dungeon adventures occur to me of the right level. There was a 3.0 Dungeon adventure in a forest that had a monster rampage led by a Gnoll Druid IIRC... can't find it in my magazine stacks right off.

There's also a 3.0 adventure called Elfwhisper, though it's for 8th level and you'd have to scale it up. It's in Dungeon 90.

Edit: There's an FR adventure "Secrets of Archwood" that features elf chauvinists written for 13th level. It may be adaptable to your needs.

Try "Mellorn Hospitality", Dungeon #107 (Feb 2004). IIRC, it's for level 10 (might need some adjustments) and features an elven settlement and some fiendish opposition.

Go to the WotC site and look for a free adventure titled "Ghosts of Aniel", set in an elven village. You'll have to scale things up, but that's easily done by adding class levels to the main baddie.

It's not an adventure per se, but you may find Corwyl: Village of the Wood elves a useful resource.

This companion book to Green Ronin's Bow & Blade fully details a wood elf village designed to fit easily in any fantasy campaign setting. The remote tree-top village makes an excellent home base for a wilderness-oriented campaign, or an exotic place for existing characters to visit. The current political and religious crisis offers a starting point for play, while the many adventure seeds and plot hooks ensure that Corwyl will remain interesting for the life of the campaign. Corwyl: Village of the Wood Elves also includes:

* A complete history of the village, including details on the Dark War with the drow fortress of Dezzavold.
* Over 40 fully detailed NPCs.
* Two new core classes (Ancestral Speaker and Terellian Knight) and two prestige classes (Animal Master and Tree Maiden) tied to the village's background.
* A plethora of new feats and spells, complemented by choice additions from a variety of open sources.
* Rules fully in line with the 3.5 revision.
* A handy "Who's Who?" appendix to make the GM?s job easier.
* Beautiful art from Andrew Baker, Jennifer Meyer, Jonathan Kirtz, Stephanie Pui-Mun Law and Liz Danforth.

Corwyl: Village of the Wood Elves is both evocative and useful, with something to offer any d20 fantasy campaign. Enter the forest, and see what mysteries it holds!

Requires the use of the Dungeons & Dragons Players Handbook, published by Wizards of the Coast, Inc. This product utilizes updated material from the v.3.5 revision.

If you want something spic, and they are in to hunting demons, you could always download the Ruins of Myth Drannor box set pdf from RPGNow and convert it from 2E to 3E. That'll give you a massive ruined elven city, overrun by demons, set in the middle of a great elven forest. Adapt the trappings from FR to your campaign world and you have potential for months of adventuring.

Thanks to all of you

Thanks for providing helpful advise (and a good sales pitch ;-). At the moment Elfwhsiper is my favorite, since I am looking for a one-weekend-only adventure. I've already dug out the proposed music and can already see my players getting their creeps and start looking over their shoulders.
Must have missed Ghosts of Aniel when I've screent the WotC site.

A good start into 2007 to all of you!
