Ugh, if he wins, I hope this is not seen as a proof for something and guides future class design. Because that class is really not that interesting.

Eh. Despite strikers generally being the most popular, I'd bet Fighter is the last class standing. Nobody really dislikes them, and they're probably the best class at their role.
