Didn't I read somewhere that Lolth would be goddess of the moon? Or one of the moons?

She WAS the goddess of the new moon, opposite Sehanie, goddess of the full moon. (hence the black skin/light hair opposite coloring)

However, I'm surprised by the lack of deities for certain common portfolio's-

The lack of a sea deity stood out for me. Maybe Kord (Storms) or Melora (Wilderness) can serve in that role, but a deity focusing specifically on the sea would still be useful in pirate campaigns - it's not a "non-adventuring" environment/theme like the agriculture/doorways examples mentioned by WOTC.

I like this set up.

It's got enough depth that the mundane aspects of the world won't be left out (Kord is the god of Weather, too!) and so that clerics aren't scaring away undead with the frightening power of Doctor Swordopolis, God of Swords (meaning that even the 'adventuring' deities have non-adventuring groundings).

I am totally behind making the racial gods more general.

Neat! This may rekindle my desire to do a Deity-A-Week style thing. :)

God of secrets, eh?

If that's Vecna's schtick, I'm going to have a lot of fun inspired by that monk of the "lost moment" character from Iron Council (by China Miéville). :]
