Meh, it's not broken. :p

Just to be clear, I don't want the feat so I can abuse it. I originally picked the fighter MC feat only because I wanted both Stealth and Intimidation training, and since avenger and paladin only offered Religion training, I went looking for other MC feats. Now that there's avenger and paladin MC feats that let you train skills other than Religion, that's what I'm going with. Avenger preferably, since I see Sarenax as more of a striker 2ndary role, though paladin would serve.

In the end, I'm totally fine with nerfing the oath benefit down to "til the end of your next turn", instead of lasting all encounter. Though it would be fun if we left it alone ;)

*Sigh* I just couldn't leave the avenger out of it, could I? ;)

Sorry I'm not saying for a minute that you are abusing the feat, it actually fits in very well with your fluff. I just read it and thought "no way, this would be probably the best feat a ranger could take...get the main striker power from the avenger for arguably the most devestating striker."

P.S. Avengers are made of win. I hope Tristan and Blade can do something besides slaughter old men soon ;)

Didn't mean to say you were saying that. Just making sure my reasoning for taking it is clear, because it is a very abusable feat. Some of my first thoughts were the same sort of thing as you with ranger + Hero of the Faith ;)

And of course avengers are made of win. That's why I can't stay away from them ;) I'm pretty sure Tristan and Blade won't have any shortage of things to do pretty soon, haha.

Let's go with this. I still haven't looked at the other options you mentioned taking. When you do update your sheet in the RG, let me know what changes you've made, yes?

Ooookay, I finally uploaded Anostor on the RG. The format is not as pretty as the others', but I hope it is clear enough.
I'm reading through the IC thread. Any suggestions regarding his introduction?

A few short comments mechanically-wise.
Anostor is not really optimized, but he should be more than acceptable striker. He can deal nice damage like all barbarians, although I skipped the Bloodclaw property because a)it's cheesy; b)I like a barbarian that can last a lot in melee better; c)with a Jagged weapon I can keep Axe Mastery for later and grab another epic feat.
Regardless, Anostor is pretty tough to kill, too. Plenty of temporary hp; cannot go unconscious while raging (and he can rage four times a day); dangerous to bloody due to a couple of tricks. Has a couple of means per encounter to spend healing surges.
While his reflex and will defenses are nothing to write home about, the ring of freedom of movement and the carcanet of psychic schism should help with the worst conditions.
He has some degree of control with pushes and knocking prone.
The best damage dealer is, of course, Storm of Blades, which he can use twice per encounter, even three if necessary. And that has to count for something. Give me a good attack bonus in melee and you're gonna see damage SPIKES!!

Sounds good. I've put a list of the feats and powers I've swapped at the top of the sheet, as well as the mechanical changes for each of the feats.

The only other thing I can see there being concern over is the epic cleric feat Supreme Healer. It lets me heal two targets every time I use healing word - not sure if that's super ridiculous for epic level or not, to be honest. However, there is a version of the feat for warlords and for bards, so I guess this just brings clerics up to par on that front.

Anyway, I think I've done enough surgery on Sarenax. I'll leave him alone now ;) Here's the list of changes:

Powers:
Arc of the Righteous -> Promise of Victory (Reserve Maneuver)
Holy Spark -> Wrath of the Faithful

Feats:

RQ’s Blessing -> Power of Death
* Lose Raven Queen's blessing channel divinity power
* Gain +2 Religion, +4 damage to bloodied enemies with righteous brand

Durable -> Death Knell
* -2 healing surges (total = 9 now)
* Gain death knell channel divinity power

Student of the Sword -> Hero of the Faith
* Lose 1/enc +1 bonus to two-handed weapon attack roll
* Gain oath of enmity special version

Uncanny Dodge -> Pervasive Light
* Lose uncanny dodge benefit (enemies get no attack bonus for CA)
* Enemies vulnerable to radiant damage take the extra damage when Sarenax hits them with a non-radiant damage power

Robust Defenses -> Supreme Healer
* -2 Fort, Ref, Will (totals = 32, 31, 31 now)
* Healing word affects two targets
