[4e] covaithe's E1: Death's Reach

Uh... not at all! Just my personal taste! I justified the choice because Bloodclaw is really a given for a striker with a lot of hp from a mechanical standpoint.

Looking over Anostor:

You've got 1 point left to spend on ability scores. Not that you can really get much out of it, but you might as well spend it on something.

I can't make out how your trained skills go. Clearly Acrobatics (from the skill training feat), athletics, endurance, and perception are trained. CB says you get 2 more, from Student of the Sword and for being human. Endurance is 5 more than CB says; did you double train it? None of the rest are enough higher that they could be trained.

You've got Iron Ring of the Dwarf Lords in your magic item powers list, and you have the extra healing surge it gives, but it's not in your equipment list. I don't think you have enough cash for it; I have you at 11,720g left without it.

Pressing strike you have as pushing the target 3 on a hit. I see 2 (from rushing cleats), but where's the 3rd square from?

Likewise Iron Hammer Rage; I count push 9 on a hit, but you've got 10. What am I missing?

Likewise Thunderfall, except that the pushing on a hit with a charge matches what I count.

Don't forget this on your sheet: Heroic Action: When you spend an AP to take an extra action, you gain resist 20 to all damage until the end of your next turn.

Nothing terribly serious, except the ring. I'll see about introducing Anostor soon.

OK! I think I fixed all the mistakes!
I turned Charisma into 15. No difference mechanically. Anostor is just a bit prettier.
I changed the equipment a bit. No Iron Ring of the dwarf Lords, I had skipped something while counting; I bough some consumables instead. One less healing surge.
Acrobatics was +5 more that it should have been because I had a dwarven armor in a previous version, and the bonus stuck; fixed.
The +1 to pushes was there because I bought a couple of Gauntlets of the Ram, but for some reason forgot to put them in the gear section in the RG. Now they're there.

About skills: I got Bluff trained thanks to the Background you approved. With perception and Athletics that makes three for the Barbarian. Then Endurance from the multiclass feat, and Acrobatics from the skill training feat.

I hope now it's alright!

fine, I'll wait for the right moment! Initiative is 14 (whoa, a natural 1 as the first roll in a game isn't really what I'd call a good omen...
As for the token, I really couldn't find anything depicting a giant human with black beard and long hair....so you can use whatever you have that is barely reminding of that ^^
Well, now I feel a little better about my 16 initiative!

And what about your avatar, Ata? Wouldn't that sort of work as a token?

Well... that's actually a good idea. It's not the way I imagine Anostor, but it's more reminiscent than anything I could find, so here is your token, cov! :)
(thanks sessadore)

Yeah so far we've all rolled pretty low (hopefully getting that out of our system), both my init rolls were single digits, which I guess mirrors my RL game I play. The genasi swordmage has an expected value of 14 on init, but I routinely am in the <10 category...:(
