Sarenax doesn't have any ongoing damage.

I'll have more to say about the encounter and balance when it's done (which probably won't take too long), but the lich's tactics were straight out of the encounter description. I'm playing this one fairly straight; I'll likely take more liberties as time goes on.

Covaithe, another question for you: does Death Knell do damage? In other words, would it do anything to the shadowclaw, assuming it has 15 hp or less?

Something else I've been wondering, if a PC's mount drops to 0 hp, is it dead or unconscious? Good thing for the healer to know

Fortunately, I get to dodge this question, because Death Knell targets a bloodied creature, and the shadowclaw isn't bloodied. (It's a minion, it can't be bloodied.) On the other hand, everything I know about Death Knell is from your CS; the compendium doesn't know what Death Knell is. (grr....)

Last time I checked on this, the rules were silent as far as I could tell. I think I'll go with unconscious, for now, and see how that goes.

Drat, I forgot about the bloodied target part. And here I was hoping it would be a handy minion killer. Ah well. So, I guess you're right. For what it's worth, the only part of the power text I've changed is the changing "5 + one-half your level" to "15", so there's not really anything to help me there

On the mounts, I'm just thinking it's nicer to be able to use some healing to get your mount back, rather than spend the hours and large sums of cash for a raise dead or a new mount. Makes a little more sense that if PC's with mounts are supposed to be viable that they don't go through them like toilet paper

Regarding the cambion and resistance. I'm not sure it makes much difference at this point, but just for the sake of keeping it in mind Kylek ignores the first 15 points of cold resistance on arcane attacks.

I could be wrong, but I'd interpret that as applying specifically to cold resistance, not to "resist all damage" that happens to be applied to cold damage. Yes?

Hurm...I don't know the particulars of the cambion's abilities, but as for resist all in general and how it interacts with the sorcerer's class ability, well I don't know the answer to that either. It didn't click in my mind that it was resist all. I could see it either way, so whatever you think is fair.
