You're wrong. Check out the interview on the front page of the site. It's 2.75, with additions from story games.

Yup, i just realized that after reading the interview. Posted this based on what had heard before seeing it. 2.75 with story game elements seems right based on what they say.

You're late. Check out the omission from the original poster 2 posts up.

Yeah, looking at Morrus' recent post about it, most of my assumptions seem wrong.

13th age: D&D for Burning Wheel fans?

Future 4E:....ebay, hobby stores that sell old games, "file sharing", and others that ignore copyright details?

If they just called it a book of options for any incarnation of D&D, it'd probably get a lot more enthusiasm amongst the partisans. It certainly seems to be loaded with yoink-able ideas.

I have a sincere question for 4E fans: are you excited enough about the 13th Age news so far to consider a possible alternarive to Next? It seems like the game is targeting that audience (though I could be wrong) and I have to wonder if people who really like 4E see it as their Pathfinder.

If so, what does the mean for Next (will they have to walk a norrow bsnd between Pathfinder, OSR and 13th Age)?

I think you over-estimate 13th Age. Paizo/Pathfinder was in the right place at the right time. Thus far we don't know that D&Dnext won't give 4e players what they are looking for.

The real question is will 13th Age be my (and anyone else's) 5e?

Well it'll be someone's 5e. Will it be a lot of peoples 5e? Doubt it. If you don't have brand recognition or be in the right place at the right time (Paizo), people are tired of yet another fantasy heartbreaker.
