4e lovefest?

That's going to be more difficult when the General forum becomes merged with the 4e forum, assuming we decide to go that route. Thread categories will help somewhat.

Anyone besides me notice that right now the General forum has relatively little traffic?

I have!

But I have been noticing it for a long time. There are a lot of styles of threads that I do miss that seem to have disappeared as certain posters have moved off the site, or become even more busy in RL.

I do think that it will become a lot more lively once the new edition is released. But I would love to see more topics that facilitated general discussions without focusing explicitly on an edition, or even a game system.

Anyone else thinking ENworld this thread is turning into a 4e love hate fest? Should we all invite Scott Rouse and Bill Slavicsek the haters over for dinner and sing praises on them for saving us from the horrible 3.5 4e and preventing D&D from dying a horrible death? Then get a heart with 4e 3.5 inside of it tattooed on our arms.

I guess that's why I'm starting to find myself gravitating more towards Paizo's message boards lately. I'm running a Pathfinder campaign, and we're using some of the PF RPG rules.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I'm doing, too. I've been fading away from ENWorld for a little while now, and spend a little more time at Paizo (though my overall messageboard participation has decreased dramatically).

The 3E hatefest does indeed exist - in the 4E forum - in some threads - by a smallish cadre of posters. Maybe you could avoid that (tiny) section of ENWorld and, I dunno, click on a forum that isn't the 4E one?

It might get worse when the 4e forum is melded into the General Discussion area.

And AWESOME! I love mayo. It's a fine condiment, and delicious on both burgers and fries. Plus, according to some cooking show I saw it creates a seal that stops the bottom bun from getting soggy! How do you say no to that?

Damn. Now I'm hungry.
