[4e] Monster Mash! 4e MvM tournament (Closed)

:D Epic!!:lol:

I vote for Death's Reach!

I want to play an Epic Wizard SOO BAD!!

that would be awesome!

[sblock=EDIT]

also, I've pretty much come to the conclusion, my team will be at a loss to the others...

Beyond that, playing in a crew with renau1g, atanatotatos, and oni, would rock socks![/sblock]

[sblock=SECOND EDIT]

I'm still geeking out about the possibility of an Epic Wizard!

Ummm yes absolutely yes. I would love to play an epic game.

I know that Oni would own my team as well.

Edit: I might like to try the new revenant race from DDI & possibly either a cleric (of god of death) or a warden, his rebirth as a defender of the natural world could be part of why he was brought back.

Edit 2: Or possibly a bugbear or warforged warlord.

O___O EPIC??! YAY!!! I'm in!!!

Now, for what to play... uhm... urgh.... gosh that's SO difficutl to decide... I still haven't played anything at really high level yet...
What do you think about hybrids cov?

Uhmm... what is the general tone/premise of the adventure, cov? I guess the setting is the generic one, right?

I'm thinking maybe a honorable Dragonborn warrior... perhaps a Barbarian/fighter... a very tough striker, probably...

Tone is fairly generic, I think. It's mostly a dungeon crawl through exotic locales, in the service of the Raven Queen. If your character has trouble working for her, that would probably cause some friction. Obviously you'll want to keep the other party members in mind when putting your characters' personalities together, but I don't think there's anything in the adventure itself that would preclude, say, mercenary or evil characters.

It sounds like there's consensus for going with the epic game, so I'll go ahead and get that thread started pretty soon. As a preview of the character creation rules, I'm basically good with any setting-agnostic material (so no Forgotten Realms backgrounds, e.g.) from WotC published books, within reason. Things from Dragon or adventures or preview material, ask me first, please. Standard 22 point buy, standard wealth, etc. I'm happy with character builder files, but don't require them.

Renau1g: Revenants are fine, in fact quite thematically appropriate.

Ata: Not sure about hybrids. I haven't really looked at those rules yet. If you're really keen on it, I'll look them over, but no promises.

Also, I know some of you guys are pretty good at char optimization. That's fine, and I'm happy for you to build powerful characters -- you'll need them! -- but try not to get too cheesy. I'm not going to make any specific bans; I'll just remind you that if I have to ramp up the difficulty because you're waltzing through the encounters, there's a decent chance that I'll overshoot and TPK. ;)

A generic PHB2 background ok?

Character builder has the hybrid rules built in. Not the full ones, not the most updated one (?), but rules built in, none-the-less.

I'm anxiously awaiting this game.

!!!!

Oh man. Epic. Would. Be. Awesome.

Can I get in on this? Pretty pretty please?!

Assuming you let me in on the awesome ... would it be going overboard if I played an avenger? An avenger of the raven queen would be pretty cool. Or possibly a warden, or a paladin, or a cleric, or ... someone remind me why you only get one character per adventure, please? ;)

Two words... Dream Team.

L.S. Ren. Ata. Oni.

With Cov as DM.

I don't care what level it is played at, I would play that game.
