The question is simple enough: Do you use D&D miniatures? Reaper or another metal line? A mixture of both? Cardboard markers? Dice? M&Ms? Pencil scribblings? Nothing? What?

I'd like to keep this to 4E players/DMs (not to be exclusive or anti-other-editions, but in order to focus in on what 4E folks use).

EDIT: Emphasis in the poll on "primarily." For example, if you mainly use DDM but throw in a metal mini once in a while, vote for DDM.

Perhaps a poll would have been worthwhile. I'm a 4e DM and I have a collection of about 600 DDMs. I buy them from the states (even though I live in Japan) as the cost of singles there is incredibly low. A new set has just been released and looks quite lovely - I have some on the way to me as we speak.

Urm we use minis. The players all have accurate minis of their PCs, which is cute.

I collect minis from a few places on the net and have a box full of them. I pay about 0.30 each for them. I can't stop :) They are a mic of WotC, old leadies, games workshop, whatever I see that's that price which I dont have yet.

We fill the gaps with tokens.

I use a mix of 4e and 3.5 minis, which I buy in singles from Sydney. Mostly I go for appearance and scale rather than being correct though I do have to compromise when price comes into it. I have a dragonborn pally and no mini as they're rare and expensive, so she uses the eternal blade which we call the Princess Leia pally.

But those plastic boxes that dice come in make great gelatinous cubes.

I use minis. Some plastic (I have thousands of them), and some metal (when I find a mini that says "You are my character").

I would have voted "other," as my group and I use a mix of the first three options. Metal and plastic minis for PCs when we can find accurate representations and/or paint them, and cardboard counters for almost all monsters. I use Fiery Dragon's monster counters and will be taking a good look at WOTC's counters once they're available.

I didn't include an "Other" or "Mixed" option because I wanted to see what people mainly use, thus "primarily." I just have a feeling that if I had Other/Mixed, the vast majority of votes would go there and thus make this poll (even more) meaningless.
