4th ed in the UK?

annoyingly, my own impatience got the better of me;

i preordered KoTS from amazon, and saw on the 20th that it wouldnt get to me until the first week in june

a few days later, i passed my local gaming shop and saw it on the shelf and thought, "I cant wait!" and bought it there and then.

when i got back to the computer to cancel the order, they'd already shipped it. i now have 2 copies of KotS, one of which i have to return to amazon with in 30 days.

i'm a friggin idiot... happy cuz i got KoTS though.... :)

It's sunny in Scotland at the moment. No, really!

Actually, I lied. I'm in Inverness and it's been not too bad recently!

And thanks to everyone for all the friendly and helpful responses -where has this forum been all my life! We don't really have a lfgs (local friendly gaming store?) up here as such so I'll check out Leisure Games, I think. Might as well give the cash to a dedicated gaming company instead of Amazon, who let's face it aren't gonna be going bust over night :D

edit - ordered KOTS from Leisure Games as it happens, which I would definitely recommend to my gaming friends. I'll head to their site right now with Maestro card in hand!

They have a very good reputation amongst my gaming friends.

Just had an email back from Mike Berry regarding the London Dungeon event on the 7th - apparently they only have space for DM's now and might not be able to fit them in.

I'm waiting for confirmation that this means I can definitely turn up and be let in, but it also looks like they'll be sending me the adventure material in advance so I can take a look at it. All's I can say is - woot! Free stuff!

Tallarn, you realise that the day after is the event in Redhill, with the same scenario, don't you?

Yup - but I also trust myself not to give anything away if I end up DMing it and then playing in it.

I can always play under a different DM at Redhill, if you'd prefer. Besides, it'll give me a chance to play different characters and see how it all works out.

I also intend not to mention that I know the adventure before I play in it (apart from to you, obviously).

No probs at all, just checking!!!

I got KOTS on Wednesday :)
Yeah it's been unusually nice here in Scotland, me thinks the weather bogles are up to something! :D

Hm I may buy a PHB from Glasgow, I love the Dragon and George (owner is so old school eccentric it's a joy), and it's got Static next to it!
